Meme kanseri cerrahisi geçiren kadınlarda sosyal destek, yalnızlık ve anksiyete düzeylerinin belirlenmesi
Abstract
This study was conducted as a descriptive cross-sectional study to determine the levels of social support, loneliness and anxiety in women undergoing breast cancer surgery. The population of the study consisted who underwent surgery for breast cancer in Kocaeli University Research and Application Hospital, the sample of the study consisted of 135 women who came to the hospital for treatment and control between September 10, 2018 and February 10, 2019 and volunteered to participate in the study. In order to obtain the data of the study, 'Personal Information Form', Multidimensional Perceived Social Support Scale, Depression, Anxiety, Stress Scale21, UCLA Loneliness Scale – III prepared by the researchers were used. The data of the research were transferred to computer and analyzed in IBM SPSS Statistics 21 program. Descriptive statistics (number, percentage, lowest-highest values, mean and standard deviation), internal consistency analysis (Chronbach's alpha internal consistency coefficient), parametric (t test in independent groups) and nonparametric (Mann Whitney U) analyzes were used in the analysis of the data. Statistical significance was accepted as p <0,05. As a result of the study, the mean score of Multidimensional Perceived Social Support Scale of women who had breast cancer surgery was found to be 67,30 ± 16,19, the mean score of 'Family' sub-dimension of the scale was 21,43 ± 6,69, and the average score of 'Friend' sub-dimension was 24,16 ± 4,83, The mean score of 'Special' subscale was and 21,71 ± 6,37, respectively. Depression, Anxiety, Stress Scale-21 (DASÖ-21) The average score of the 'Depression' sub-dimension was 5,78 ± 4,38, the average score of the 'Anxiety' sub-dimension was 6,96 ± 4,55, the average score of the res stress 'sub-dimension. UCLA Loneliness Scale – III average score was found to be 33,56 ± 10,94. It was found that MPSS scores were positive for DASÖ and UCLA Loneliness and negative for DASÖ and UCLA. In this study, it can be concluded that the perceived support of women is high, the level of loneliness is low, they experience mild depression and stress and moderate anxiety. Key Words: Anxiety, Breast cancer, Social support,Loneliness.
