Abstract
Diyabetli bireylerde kardiyovasküler hastalık riskleri ve buna bağlı mortalite oranı oldukça yüksektir. Bu çalışmanın amacı; diyabetli bireylerde kardiyovasküler hastalık risklerini ve risk faktörleri hakkındaki bilgi düzeylerini değerlendirmektir. Tanımlayıcı kesitsel tipte yapılan bu çalışmanın örneklemini, diyabet tanı ve tedavisi alan 200 birey oluşturdu. Araştırma verileri, ''Hasta Tanılama Formu'', 'Kardiyovasküler Hastalık Riski Değerlendirme Skoru (QRisk-2)'' ve ''Kardiyovasküler Hastalıklar Risk Faktörleri Bilgi Düzeyi (KARRİF-BD) Ölçeği'' ile elde edildi. Verilerin istatistiksel analiz bilgisayar ortamında, Man Whitney U testi, Kruskall Wallis varyans analizi ve Pearson korelasyon analizi kullanılarak yapıldı. Araştırmaya katılan diyabetli bireylerin yaş ortalaması 57,85±10,66 yıl olup büyük çoğunluğu (%62) kadındı. Diyabetli bireylerin QRisk-2 puanları ortalaması 28,47±15,42, KARRİF-BD puanları ortalaması ise 19,69±5,05 olarak bulundu. Yaş, sistolik kan basıncı ve serum kolesterol düzeyi artıkça kardiyovasküler hastalık riskinin arttığı belirlendi. Yaş ve tanı yılı arttıkça kardiyovasküler hastalık risk faktörleri bilgisinin azaldığı, yüksekokul mezunu diyabetli bireylerin bilgi düzeylerinin daha yüksek olduğu bulundu. Diyabetli bireylerde kardiyovasküler hastalık risk faktörleri bilgi düzeyi arttıkça kardiyovasküler hastalık riskinin azaldığı belirlendi. Buna göre; diyabetli bireylerde kardiyovasküler hastalık riskinin yüksek, kardiyovasküler risk faktörleri bilgilerinin orta düzeyde olduğu söylenebilir. Diyabetli bireylerin kardiyovasküler hastalık riskleri açısından yakından takip edilmesi ve diyabetli bireylerin eğitimi yapılırken kardiyovasküler hastalık risk faktörleri hakkında bilgi verilmesi önerilmektedir. Assessment of Cardiovascular Disease Risk and Knowledge Levels in Individuals with Diabetes The risk of cardiovascular disease and the associated mortality rate are high in individuals with diabetes. The aim of this study is to assess cardiovascular disease risk and the level of knowledge about risk factors in individuals with diabetes. The descriptive cross - sectional study consisted of 200 subjects with diabetes diagnosis and treatment. The research data was obtained from the '' Patient Identification Form '', 'Cardiovascular Disease Risk Assessment Score (QRisk-2)' and '' Cardiovascular Disease Risk Factors Knowledge Level (KARRİF-BD) Scale ''. Statistical analysis of the data was performed using the Mann Whitney U test, Kruskall Wallis variance analysis and Pearson correlation analysis. The mean age of individuals with diabetes participating in the study was 57,85 ± 10,66 years and the majority (62%) were female. The mean of QRisk-2 scores was 28.47 ± 15.42, and the mean of KARRİF-BD scores was 19.69 ± 5.05 in individuals with diabetes. It was found that age, systolic blood pressure, and serum cholesterol levels increased as the risk of cardiovascular disease increased. The age and the number of years of diagnosis increased as knowledge of cardiovascular disease risk factors decreased, and knowledge levels of college graduates with diabetes were found to be higher. It was determined that cardiovascular disease risk decreased as the level of knowledge of cardiovascular disease risk factors increased in individuals with diabetes. According to this; it can be said that cardiovascular disease risk is high and cardiovascular risk factors information is moderate in individuals with diabetes. It is recommended that individuals with diabetes be closely monitored for the risks of cardiovascular disease and that information on cardiovascular disease risk factors should be provided when individuals with diabetes are educated. KEY WORDS: Cardiovascular Disease, Risk Factors, Knowledge.
