Abstract

This chapter introduces kinesiology of hip. It starts by anatomy (bones, static and dynamic stabilizers, veins and nerves) of hip. The chapter continues with biomechanics and osteokinematics of the hip. The relation between femur and pelvis is explained as kinesiology. Movements of the hip during walking and running are explained. At the end of the chapter, changes in the hips in neurological and orthopedic illness situations will be explained. © 2020 Elsevier Inc.
