Abstract
Pandrug-resistant (PDR) bacterial infections in intensive care units are emerging as a severe problem. Therefore, new antibiotic options are urgently needed for the treatment of PDR infections in pediatric age groups, especially neonates. Herein, we report a 25 days old preterm neonate successfully treated with ceftazidime-avibactam due to a urinary tract infection caused by PDRKlebsiella pneumoniae. We aimed to describe our experiences about the safety and efficacy of ceftazidime-avibactam treatment.
