Özel bir hastanede görev yapan sağlık çalışanlarının bulaşıcı hastalıklara yönelik risk ve korunma farkındalığının incelenmesi

Abstract

Bulaşıcı hastalık salgınları tarih boyunca insanoğlunun mücadele etmesi gereken önemli sağlık sorunlarından biri olmuştur. Birçok insanı aynı anda etkileyen bulaşıcı hastalıklar; sosyal yaşamda olumsuz etkilere sebep olmanın yanında, sağlık hizmetlerine beklenmeyen yükler getirerek toplumda sakatlık ve ölümlerde artışa neden olmaktadır. Bu çalışma ile özel bir hastanede sağlık çalışanlarının bulaşıcı hastalıklara yönelik risk ve korunma farkındalığının belirlenmesi, sosyodemografik özelliklere göre değişkenlik durumlarının saptanması amaçlanmıştır. Bu doğrultuda örneklem grubu olan 200 sağlık çalışanından veri toplanmıştır. Veri toplama aracı Sosyodemografik Bilgi Formu ve Bulaşıcı Hastalıklar Risk Farkındalığı ve Korunma Ölçeği olmak üzere iki bölümdür. Çalışma kapsamında farklı mesleklerdeki 200 sağlık çalışanına ulaşılmıştır. Veriler değerlendirilirken tanımlayıcı istatistiksel metotların (ortalama, standart sapma, medyan, frekans, oran, minimum, maksimum) yanı sıra verilerin dağılımı Shapiro-Wilk Testi ile değerlendirilmiştir. Niceliksel verilerin üç ve üzeri grubun karşılaştırmasında Kruskall-Wallis testi; iki grup karşılaştırmasında Mann-Whitney U Testi kullanılmıştır. Çalışma bulgularına göre kişisel korunma farkındalığı değerinin ilerleyen yaş ile birlikte arttığı saptanmıştır. 50 yaş ve üzeri personelin korunma davranışları değerinin en yüksek olduğu, 18-29 yaş grubunun el yıkama davranışları değerinin en düşük değerde, 50 yaş ve üzeri grubun ise en yüksek değerde olduğu görülmüştür. Yaş gruplarına göre toplam ölçek puanı değeri istatistiksel olarak anlamlı farklılık göstermektedir. 50 yaş ve üzeri katılımcıların en düşük ölçek puanına sahip olduğu görülmüştür. Mesleğini yaparken bulaşıcı hastalığa yakalanma konusunda endişe yaşayan grubunun ortak yaşam risk farkındalığı değerinin, endişe yaşamayanlara göre yüksek olduğu görülmektedir. Hekim grubunun ortak yaşam risk farkındalığı değerinin diğer tüm katılımcılardan yüksek olduğu saptanmıştır. Çalışmada neticesinde mesleki tecrübesi daha fazla olan personelin gençlere göre ortak yaşam risk faktörlerine daha fazla önem verdiği ve bulaşıcı hastalıklara karşı daha dikkatli davrandığı söylenebilir. Infectious disease outbreaks have been one of the important health problems that mankind has to deal with throughout history. Infectious diseases that affect many people at the same time causes negative effects on social life and increase disabilities and deaths in society by bringing unexpected loads to health services. The aim of this study is to determine the risk and prevention awareness of health workers towards infectious diseases in a private hospital, and to determine the variability according to sociodemographic characteristics. The datas used were collected from 200 health workers. The data collection tool consists of two parts as sociodemographic information form and the Infectious Diseases Risk Awareness and Prevention Scale. Within the scope of the study, 200 health workers with different professional titles were reached. The datas evaluated with the descriptive statistical methods (Mean, Standard Deviation, Median, Frequency, Ratio, Minimum, Maximum) and the Shapiro-Wilk Test used for the distribution of the data. Kruskall-Wallis test was used for the comparison of quantitative data of three or more groups; Mann-Whitney U Test was used for comparison of two groups. According to evaluating of the datas, the value of personal protection awareness increased with older participant. It was observed that the value of protective behaviors of the personnel aged 50 and over was the highest, the value of handwashing behaviors of the 18-29 age group was the lowest, and the value of handwashing behaviors of aged 50 and over was the highest. The total scale score value differs statistically significantly according to age groups. It was observed that participants aged 50 and over had the lowest scale scores. The risk awareness value of the common life of the group who is worried about developing an infectious disease while doing their job is higher than those who do not have anxiety. It was determined that the value of common life risk awareness of the doctors was higher than all other participants. As a result of the study, it can be said that the personnel with more professional experience care the risk factors of common life more than young people and act more carefully against infectious diseases.
