Abstract
Mezuniyet sonrası zorunlu eğitim olarak; katılımcıların %99,3'ü temel eğitim modülüne, %75,1'i travma ve resüsitasyon kursuna, %69,5'i erişkin ileri yaşam desteği kursuna, %60,7'si çocuklarda ileri yaşam desteği kursuna katılmıştır.
The research was conducted methodologically to develop a scale to determine the level of knowledge of paramedics working at the 112 Emergency Health Service Station about the 'evaluation of acute chest pain'. The research was planned methodologically for the purpose of developing the scale. The sample of the research consisted of 285 paramedics working at the Istanbul Provincial Ambulance Service-Chief Medical Office. The research was conducted between September and December 2019. The research data were collected through 'Socio-Demographic Data Form' and the scale for 'Knowledge Level Determination Scale: Evaluation of Acute Chest Pain'. The Shapiro-Wilk test was applied to assess normality. All statistical analyses were conducted using R version 2.15.3 (R Core Team 2013). The data were analyzed using descriptive statistical analysis, one way analysis of variance, t test, Pearson correlation analysis. The internal consistency of the scale was expressed with the KR-20 coefficient. Statistical significance was accepted as p(less than)0.05. There were 53.3% women, 58.6% associate degree and 34.4% bachelor's degree, and 52.6% single paramedics. 41.4% of the the participants have the working experience in the hospital. As compulsory education after graduation; the participants were attended to the basic education module (99.3%), the trauma and resuscitation course (75.1%), advanced life support course (69.5%) and pediatric advanced life support course (60.7%). No statistically significant difference was found according to the age, total working time and gender of the participants (p(greater than)0.05). The knowledge level of the participants were found significantly higher who has higher education level; who is married; who has received continuing education, courses, congresses / seminars about chest pain and who thought that the training was sufficient about chest pain (p(less than)0.05). The scale for measuring 'Knowledge Level Determination Scale: Evaluation of Acute Chest Pain' is a reliable and valid questionnaire.
