Abstract

Endoscopically assisted transantral approach has been used since more than 2 decades for the repair of orbital floor fractures. Its popularity has increased worldwide as it overcomes most of the disadvantages of traditional techniques such as visible scar, ectropion, entropion, eyelid shortening, and impaired visibility of the posterior edge of the defect. There are different endoscopic approaches for orbital floor repair. In this article, we present our endoscopic surgical technique to repair isolated orbital floor fractures using titanium mesh with a tight-fit fixation. The technique was used in 5 patients, and the minimum postoperative follow time was 3 months. Level of evidence: Level V, therapeutic study. © 2020, Springer-Verlag GmbH Germany, part of Springer Nature.
