Abstract
Bu araştırmanın amacı, hastanede çalışan kadın hemşirelerin meme kanseri konusunda erken tanı yöntemlerine yönelik bilgi ve davranışlarının belirlenmesidir. Araştırma tanımlayıcı olarak planlanmış olup Ekim 2017-Aralık 2017 tarihleri arası gerçekleştirilmiştir. Çalışmanın evrenini Haydarpaşa Numune Eğitim ve Araştırma Hastanesi'nde çalışmakta olan kadın hemşireler oluşturdu. Toplamda 314 kadın hemşire bulunan hastanede örneklem grubunu; hastanede izne ayrılmamış ve çalışmaya katılmayı kabul eden 302 hemşire (%96,17) oluşturmuştur. Araştırmada veri toplama aracı olarak anket formu kullanılmıştır. Anket formlarında hemşirelerin tanımlayıcı özelliklerine ilişkin sorular, meme kanserine yönelik tanımlayışı bilgilere ilişkin sorular ve Sağlık İnanç Modeli yer almaktadır. Araştırma sonucunda hemşirelerin meme kanseri ile ilgili bilgilerinin yeterli olmadığı ve sağlık inanç algılarının düşük olduğu tespit edilmiştir.
The aim of this study is to examine the knowledge and behaviors of female nurses working in hospital on the early diagnosis methods of breast cancer. The study was planned as descriptive and was conducted between October 2017 and December 2017. The study population consists of 314 female nurses working in Haydarpaşa Numune Training and Research Hospital. The sample group consisted of 302 (96.17%) female nurses; nurses who are not on vacation and accepted to attend the study. A questionnaire was used as a data collection tool. The questionnaire forms include questions about the defining characteristics of nurses, questions about the definition of breast cancer and the Health Belief Model. As a result of the study, it was determined that nurses' knowledge about breast cancer was not sufficient and health belief perceptions were low.
