The study population consists of illustrated children's books published between 2000 and 2025, aimed at children aged 36-72 months, covering the elements of sex education and sexual development. 53 illustrated children's books were selected and analyzed using a purposive sampling method as part of the research. The data source of the study is the 'Content Analysis Form' prepared by the researcher. According to the findings obtained as a result of the study, among the illustrated children's books analyzed, the 'Mother's Womb' category was the most frequently covered among the sexual development categories, while the 'Body Awareness' category was the least frequently covered, and among the sexual education categories, the 'Saying No' category was the most frequently covered, while the 'Right to Physical Autonomy' category was the least frequently covered. When analyzed in terms of subjects, it was found that books on sexual development most frequently addressed the subject of 'Human Life' and least frequently covered the subject of 'Gender Patterns', and in contrast, books on sex education most frequently dealt with the subject of 'Safety Awareness' and least frequently used the subject of 'Human Life'. When the level of expression of the illustrated children's books included in the scope of the study was analyzed on a theme basis, it was found that they were mostly in the 'Directly Instructive' category. When analyzed in terms of the interpretation of content and body representations, the books were found to be appropriate to the characteristics of the period, while it was observed that, in certain books, expressions and visuals that are not appropriate in terms of period characteristics are included. When analyzed in terms of the aspects supported by the books in the context of content, it was found that books on sexual development support 'Body Awareness,' whereas books on sex education support 'Self-Protection Skill.' When body representations were analyzed in the use of visuals, it was observed that, in children's books on sexual development, they are most represented in the 'Anatomically Realistic' category, while illustrated children's books on sex education are represented in the 'Simplified' category. When analyzing the dimension of raising awareness about abuse in illustrated children's books, it was concluded that books mostly seek to raise awareness about sexual abuse.Bu araştırmanın amacı, 36-72 ay arasındaki çocuklara yönelik hazırlanmış resimli çocuk kitaplarında cinsel eğitim ve cinsel gelişim unsurlarının incelenmesidir. Araştırmanın evrenini 2000-2025 yılları arasında 36-72 ay arasındaki çocuklara yönelik olan, cinsel eğitim ve cinsel gelişim unsurlarını kapsayan resimli çocuk kitapları oluşturmaktadır. Araştırma kapsamında, amaçlı örnekleme yöntemi ile seçilen 53 resimli çocuk kitabı içerik analiz tekniği ile analiz edilmiştir. Araştırmanın veri kaynağını, araştırmacı tarafından hazırlanan 'İçerik Analiz Formu' oluşturmaktadır. Araştırma sonucunda elde edilen bulgularda, resimli çocuk kitaplarının cinsel gelişim kategorilerinden en fazla 'Anne Karnı' kategorisine en az ise 'Beden Tanıma' kategorisine yer verilirken; cinsel eğitim kategorilerinden en çok 'Hayır Diyebilme' kategorisine en az ise 'Bedensel Söz Hakkı' kategorisine yer verildiği görülmüştür. Konuları açısından incelendiğinde cinsel gelişim temalı kitaplarda en çok 'İnsan Yaşamı' en az ise 'Cinsiyet Kalıpları' konusu yer verildiği görülürken; cinsel eğitim temalı kitaplarda en çok kullanılan konunun 'Güvenlik Bilinci' en az kullanılan konunun ise 'İnsan Yaşamı' konulu kitaplar olduğu sonucuna ulaşılmıştır. Araştırma kapsamına alınan resimli çocuk kitaplarının tema bazında anlatım düzeyi incelendiğinde ise en çok 'Doğrudan Öğretici' kategorisinde yer aldığı görülmüştür. İçerik ve beden temsillerinin yorumlanması açısından incelendiğinde kitapların dönem özelliklerine uygunluğu görülürken, bazı kitaplarda dönem özelliği açısından uygun olmayan ifadelerin ve görsellerin yer aldığı görülmektedir. İçerik bağlamında kitapların desteklediği yönler açısında incelendiğinde, cinsel gelişim konulu kitapların 'Beden Farkındalığı'; cinsel eğitim konulu kitapların ise 'Kendini Koruma Becerisini' desteklediği görülmüştür. Görsel kullanımında beden temsileri incelediğinde ise, cinsel gelişim konulu çocuk kitaplarında en çok 'Anatomik Olarak Gerçekçi'; cinsel eğitim konulu resimli çocuk kitaplarının ise 'Sadeleştirilmiş' kategorisinde temsil edildiği görülmüştür. Resimli çocuk kitaplarında istismara yönelik farkındalık kazandırabilme boyutu incelendiğinde, kitaplarda ise daha çok cinsel istismar türünde farkındalık yaratılmaya çalışıldığı sonucuna ulaşılmıştır.trEducation and TrainingEğitim ve ÖğretimMaster Thesis
