Araştırma; cephe kavramının ne olduğundan başlamaktadır, bu tanımın içerisinde cepheden başlayarak tezin asıl temelini oluşturacak olan metal cephelere, metal cephelerden tezi daha da özele indirgeyecek olan alüminyum malzeme ile cepheye kadar sistemleşme süreçleri açıklanmıştır. Metal malzemenin tarihsel süreçteki yeri, endüstri öncesi ve endüstri sonrası kullanımı, alüminyum malzemenin keşfi ile birlikte cephe kabuğundaki tasarım sürecinden elde edeceğimiz, bildiğimiz veya bildiklerimize ek olacak yeni bilgilerin ışığında, bu süreçlerin alüminyum malzeme kullanılarak oluşturulan metal kabuklar ile ne ölçüde entegre olabileceği ve cephe kaplama malzemesi seçim süreçlerinde ki kullanıcı tercih kriterlerinden oluşmaktadır. Tezin birinci bölümünde çalışmanın ilerleyişini belirleyen yöntem ve amacını ortaya koyan bilgiler verilmiştir. İkinci bölüm cephe kavramı ve cephe kaplama türleri ile tezin konusuna giriş yapmaktadır. Üçüncü bölüm alüminyumun yapısal özellikleri ve alüminyum malzemenin işlenmesi ve alüminyum malzeme kullanılarak oluşturulan cephe panellerinin yüzey ve desen detayları üzerinedir. Dördüncü bölümde üretilen cephe panellerinin uygulama teknolojilerini anlatmaktadır. Beşinci bölümde alüminyumun tercih kriterlerini incelemektedir. Altıncı bölümde geçtiğimiz bölümlerde oluşturulan teorik bilgiler ve alüminyum malzeme tercih kriterleri göz önüne alınarak proje örneklerinin analiz ve değerlendirilmesi gerçekleştirilmiştir. Yedinci bölüm olan son bölümde sonuç ve öneriler verilerek tez sonuçlandırılmıştır. Tez kapsamında kullanılan proje içerikleri 2022-2024 yılları arasında uygulama projelerinde görev alma şansı elde edilen ticari amaçlı kullanım yapılarının örnek verilmesi ile ele alınmış olup, değerlendirmeleri taşeron firmalar ve müşteri kitlesi ile yapılan uygulama kararları kabul alınarak verilmiştir. Anahtar Kelimeler: Giydirme Cephe Sistemi, Mimari Cephe, Metal Kabuklar, Alüminyum Cephe, Alüminyum Tercih Kriterleri.The thesis investigates the aesthetic and technical possibilities of facade cladding systems, which are becoming more technologically advanced thanks to construction technologies, how aluminum can be more effective in building design, the development processes, properties, advantages and disadvantages of aluminum as a construction material over time, and presents an inference with the results obtained from the research. The research begins with the concept of a facade. Within this definition, the systematization processes are explained, starting with the facade, through metal facades, which will form the core of the thesis, and from metal facades to aluminum facades, which will further refine the thesis. It examines the historical significance of metal materials, their pre-industrial and post-industrial uses, the discovery of aluminum, and the extent to which these processes can be integrated with metal shells constructed using aluminum, in light of new information we will gain from the facade shell design process, whether it be new or new information that will complement what we already know, and the user preference criteria used in the facade material selection process. The first chapter of the thesis provides information on the methodology and purpose of the study. The second chapter introduces the thesis topic by focusing on the concept of façade and types of façade cladding. The third chapter discusses the structural properties of aluminum, its processing, and the surface and pattern details of façade panels produced using aluminum. The fourth chapter describes the application technologies of the produced façade panels. The fifth chapter examines the selection criteria for aluminum. The sixth chapter analyzes and evaluates project examples, taking into account the theoretical knowledge developed in the previous chapters and the selection criteria for aluminum materials. The seventh, the final chapter, concludes the thesis by presenting conclusions and recommendations. The project contents used within the scope of the thesis were discussed by giving examples of commercial use structures that had the chance to take part in application projects between the years 2022-2024, and their evaluations were made by accepting the application decisions made with subcontractor companies and the customer base.
