Bu çalışmanın amacı elit düzey yabancı futbolcularda sosyal ve kültürel uyum düzeylerini incelemektir. Araştırmada nitel araştırma yönteminden yararlanılmıştır ve yabancı futbolcularla yarı yapılandırılmış görüşmeler yapılmıştır. Veri analizi yöntemi kullanılarak çözümleme yapılmıştır. Türkiye'de Süper Lig'de forma giyen 15 elit düzey yabancı futbolcunun katılımıyla araştırma gerçekleştirilmiştir. Bu çalışmadaki sonuçlar Süper Lig'de farklı kulüplerde kariyerini sürdüren yabancı statüsünde en az 2 yıl profesyonel futbol oynamış ve ülkelerinin milli takımlarına seçilmiş 15 elit futbolcunun verdiği yanıtlarla sınırlıdır. Ulaşılan sonuçlara göre elit düzey yabancı futbolcuların takım arkadaşlarıyla olan ilişkileri, sosyal ve kültürel uyum sürecini hızlandırarak kolaylaştırmıştır. Saha dışında arkadaşlarla birlikte geçirilen sürenin artması halinde sosyal ve kültürel uyum düzeyinin arttığı çalışmanın sonuçları arasındadır. Çalışmada ulaşılan sonuçlar, geliştirilen iyi insan ilişkilerinin elit düzey yabancı futbolcuların sosyal ve kültürel uyumunu artıracak şekilde etkili olduğunu göstermektedir. Çalışma sonucunda Türkiye'de forma giyen elit düzey yabancı futbolcuların sosyal ve kültürel uyum düzeyleri yüksek olarak belirlenmiştir.The social and cultural adaptation of elite level foreign football players is an extremely important issue due to the high investments made. The aim of this study is to examine the social and cultural adaptation levels of elite level foreign football players. Qualitative research method was used in the study and semi-structured interviews were conducted with foreign football players. Analysis was carried out using the data analysis method. The study was conducted with the participation of 15 elite level foreign football players playing in the Super League in Turkey. The results of this study are limited to the responses given by 15 elite football players who continued their careers in different clubs in the Super League, played professional football for at least 2 years with foreign status and were selected to their country's national teams. According to the results obtained, the relationships of elite level foreign football players with their teammates accelerated and facilitated the social and cultural adaptation process. It is among the results of the study that the level of social and cultural adaptation increases when the time spent with friends outside the field increases. The results obtained in the study show that the good human relations developed are effective in increasing the social and cultural adaptation of elite level foreign football players.
