During these measurements, one of the vibration monitors was placed as close to shot point as possible. The idea behind this application was to determine the vibration attenuation characteristics of Akyol quarry site, including the immediate area behind the shot points. Afterwards, the records were subjected to statistical analysis. As a result, peak particle velocity (PPV) prediction formula unique for this site was obtained. Blasting chart which can be used as a guide to predict PPV for future blasting was prepared by using this formula. © 2014, Hacettepe Universitesi Yerbilmleri.
