Conference Object Citation Count: 1Designing a smart home energy management system to improve cost/comfort factor;(Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers Inc., 2020) Kıvanç,Ö.C.; Bilgen, Semih; Bilgen,S.; Öztürk,S.B.; Baysan,S.; Tuncay,R.N.; Bilgisayar Mühendisliği / Computer EngineeringHome energy management systems optimize the energy buying/selling amount to reduce high costs by increasing individual energy consumption. Shifting the consumption time depending on the tariff is provided as cost, and the more effective and automatic operation of the devices is offered to the user as comfort. In the study, a hardware and software are developed that can estimate solar energy potential, energy consumption and automatically regulate the comfort/cost ratio of domestic energy using these data. Battery status, electricity buying/selling price, weather condition and consumption forecast data are evaluated by fuzzy logic algorithm and provide the ratio of comfort and cost effectiveness. The obtained comfort and cost effectiveness determine the optimum energy supply amount between the battery, grid and solar energy using the simulated annealing algorithm. As a result of the study, it has been determined that the energy cost for the user has decreased and the comfort has increased. © 2020 Turkish Chambers of Electrical Engineers.Conference Object Citation Count: 0PeTraLi: A simulation for the observation of drivers' experiences assisted personal traffic lights(Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers Inc., 2016) Sever,C.; Nikbay,K.; Akgün,B.T.In this work, the measurement and improvement of drivers' attitudes are aimed by using data obtained from driving experiences in virtual traffic which is created by the 3D game platform and is enriched by assisting with the Personal Traffic Lights (PeTraLi). For this multi-user simulation which can also be seen as a serious game, vehicles for drivers, driverless vehicles, intersections equipted with PeTraLi system, roads and buildings are implemented. PeTraLi is a proposed system design in this work and includes a roadside equipment for each intersection and a small electronic device in the vehicle. In this paper, development of work, simulation systems and games, simulation systems and simulators of vehicle/driving/traffic are summarized, and PeTraLi system is introduced. © 2015 Chamber of Electrical Engineers of Turkey.Conference Object Citation Count: 0A Proposed System for Forecasting of Personal Cash Flow and Saving Prediction;(Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers Inc., 2020) Coskun,B.; Akgün,B.T.The aim of this study is to develop an effective and interactive application that helps users regulate their expenditures and encourage them to save. In this application; it is aimed to estimate the forward cash flow using personal regular and irregular historical financial data and future full or partial specific financial data and the dynamic date estimation of when a person will reach a target for accumulation after a long term is aimed with the information obtained in this process. This prediction will benefit the user by supporting cash savings or in a loan plan. In the first stage of the proposed system, a fast microservice based architectural system that collects instant data to be used in forward cash flow estimation is designed. The second part of the study is the estimation of the nearest possible date to reach an accumulation amount target by adapting the most frequently used neural network algorithms and applications in the literature. © 2020 IEEE.
