    When parasitic infections of the Central Nervous System (CNS) are examined, we encounter quite a lot of parasites. Among protozoans, especially free-living amoebae (such as Naegleria, Acanthamoeba, Balamuthia, and Sappinia) have attracted attention in recent years. In addition to these, Microsporidia (Encephalitozoon), Hartmanella, Malaria, Toxoplasma, etc. will appear.
