Conference Object Citation Count: 7Adaptation problems and attitudes of teachers towards technological material using in courses(Elsevier Science Bv, 2011) Korucu, Oktay; Aktas, Ceyhan; Katrancioglu, SevanWith digital boards student can interact with claver course contents, teachers can save the board picture. It can be thought that digital boards are so efficient and useful. However, the main point is adaptation capabilities of existing teachers. Considering the capabilities of teachers on technological materials, it is difficult to achieve targeted success. So before building technological infrastructure to every classroom, it is important to make knowledge about these technologies. Because it is more important how you can benefit from technology than what it can be do. As a result in-service training is very important about using new technologies for existing teachers before facing with that. The sample of this study comprised of 50 participants who are high school and primary school teachers. The data were collected through a questionnaire. First aim is designing a set with same sample experiment blocks, which are used mostly. With integrated sample experiment blocks there is no need for external equipment for experiments. Users only write own codes for PLC control and uses internal blocks. With internal blocks user needs less connection to compose experiment circuit. Integral components make experiment electrically safer. The second goal is making design compatible with other equipment. For increasing compatibility, some energy supply ports and data ports are put set. Another aim is cost of experiment set. The design must be completed minimum cost.Conference Object Citation Count: 1Distance Control of Hydraulic Experiment Set with Different Algorithms and Software Simulation(Elsevier Science Bv, 2013) Yilmaz, Erdal; Katrancioglu, SevanWith the improvement of distance learning systems, distance laboratory experiments are being more adaptive. Addition to real experiments being done in laboratories, distance laboratory experiments also help to achieve course goals. In this study distance control of hydraulic experiments are aimed. As an experiment set, hydraulic motors are used. A web interface is designed to give theoretical information and control. Experiments are performed on scheduled date by users. Before adapting experiment systems to distance learning system, models are composed. Addition to real system users can also control the system models via web interface. Many control algorithms can be used with the different parameters. Experiment result are written in ".csv" file and showed graphically to the user. (C) 2013 The Authors. It is a problem for students to repeat the experiment away from laboratories which is important for permanent learning. In actual laboratory environment student can only use experiment sets at university. The tool, electronic control card connected to a computer, makes a bridge from computer to experiment set via internet. A server and client application runs the system with requests and answers. User interfaces can be designed specially to make a best compliance for experiment. Distance control tool is suitable for general experiment sets. Designed tool was tested on Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) experiment set in laboratory and achieved success. After Communication based technologies started to get into our lives it also accelerated educational processes and their efficiency. One of the most important improvement is being observed in mobile technologies. Mobile technologies improved distance learning which provide us to access learning materials without any time and location problems. Aim in this research is to develop another channel for communication between students and instructor. Mobile technology are used as a substructure. With the mobile learning management system many opportunities are supplied to improve course efficiency. After courses, instructors can send messages, reminders, homework and some other supporting materials to students in mobile platforms. Also feedbacks of homework and quizzes makes the evaluation easier. The continues connection between lecturers and students prevents loss of learning. (C) 2013 The Authors. Published by Elsevier Ltd.
