Article Citation Count: 1Information system selection for hospitality industry via integrated use of IVIF-DEMATEL and IVIF-TOPSIS(Ios Press, 2022) Kilic, Huseyin Selcuk; Kalender, Zeynep Tugce; Yalcin, Ahmet Selcuk; Erkal, Gizem; Tuzkaya, GulfemLike the other industries, information technologies are very important tools for the hotels' success in the tourism industry. Various processes required for the hotel business can be integrated by using a proper system, and simultaneous data transfer among different channels can be facilitated. Due to its contribution in creating value for the customers and the increasing efficiency of the processes, substantial investments in information technologies are planned by the hotel management. Like most operation management problems, evaluation and selection of proper hotel information systems require considering multiple criteria. Also, considering the uncertainty inherent to the problem and difficulties during the evaluation process, an integrated IVIF-DEMATEL and IVIF-TOPSIS approach is utilized in this paper. The IVIF-DEMATEL is used for the criteria evaluation, and the weight determination phase and IVIF-TOPSIS is used to evaluate hotel information systems alternatives. An application for the Turkish tourism sector's case is realized, and the results of the methodology are compared with the IVIF-VIKOR approach.Article Citation Count: 43A Multi-Criteria Decision Making Approach for Machine Tool Selection Problem in a Fuzzy Environment(Atlantis Press, 2011) Ozgen, Arzum; Tuzkaya, Gulfem; Tuzkaya, Umut R.; Ozgen, DoganTools and machines have an important effect on the manufacturing operations' effectiveness and the selection process of appropriate tools and machines is a complex issue with the consideration of multiple criteria. Considering the complexity of the problem area and the difficulties in machine tools evaluation processes, the main purpose of this study is to present a novel and effective methodology for machine tool selection problem. The proposed methodology constituted for this aim combines the modified DELPHI method, AHP (Analytical Hierarchy Process) and PROMETHEE (Preference Ranking Organization METHod for Enrichment Evaluations) approaches with fuzzy sets theory to be able to reflect the vagueness related to judgment of the decision-maker(s). A real life application is realized for pressing machine selection problem of a fixing products manufacturer from Turkey, Istanbul. The results of the proposed approach are compared with the results of fuzzy AHP-fuzzy TOPSIS approach. Additionally, sensitivity analyses are realized to show the changes in the results with the change in the criteria weights.
