Conference Object Citation Count: 5An analysis of concurrence entanglement measure and quantum fisher information of quantum communication networks of two-qubits;(IEEE Computer Society, 2014) Erol,V.; Bugu,S.; Özaydin,F.; Altintaş,A.A.Quantum entanglement is one of key concepts in quantum communication engineering. Ordering the quantum systems according to their entanglement measures is a popular problem of the field. For two level (qubit) systems of two particles, state ordering has been studied with respect to well-known entanglement measures such as Concurrence, Negativity and Relative Entropy of Entanglement (REE) [1-5]. In this work, we study the state ordering of the two-qubit systems with respect to Quantum Fisher Information vs. Concurrence. In particular, constructing 1K random states and calculating their Concurrences and Negativities, we obtain the orderings of the states by comparing these results with Quantum Fisher Information values and present our results which are interesting when compared to that of two-level systems. © 2014 IEEE.Conference Object Citation Count: 2Analysis of Negativity and Relative Entropy of Entanglement measures for qubit-qutrit Quantum Communication systems;(Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers Inc., 2015) Erol,V.; Ozaydin,F.; Altintas,A.A.Quantum Computers are provisioned as very high performance computers using quantum mechanical aspects for information processing. Quantum Information Theory and Quantum Computing topics are really popular topics in academia aiming the construction of theoretical background of Quantum Computers. The information processing units for Quantum Computers are defined as qubits but for some problems three level (trinary) systems may be applied as well. We call these three level systems as qutrits. The scope of this work is the analysis of well-defined entanglement measures Negativity and Relative Entropy of Entanglement (REE) [1-5] for qubit-qutrit quantum systems. In this manner, for randomly generated 1000 qubit-qutrit and 1000 two qubit states the mentioned measures are calculated and these values are compared. These comparisons are analyzed and for quantum state ordering problem, very interesting results are reported. © 2015 IEEE.Article Citation Count: 4Are we there yet? Spiral model: Human rights institutions-state-EU relations in Turkey;(International Relations Council of Turkey, 2011) Alemdar,Z.; Uluslararası İlişkiler / International RelationsBoomerang and spiral models, explaining the ways in which domestic actors form transnational networks with international organizations in order to change the repressive policies of their states, argue that these international interactions are eff ective in the implementation and internalization of international human rights norms. In the Turkish case, although the EU accession process gave way to foundation of human rights institutions, and new laws were enacted, we observe that the institutions are organized and they function ineff ectively, and the laws can be overturned through practices. Th ese examples show that despite their predictions, the boomerang model can run in reverse, the spiral model does not run in its gradual course. A comparative look at the Turkish case also shows that the models' main weakness is not only that they lack a more comprehensive look at how the international and domestic interact but also they need a better look at the internal dynamics of the international organizations that are the networking partners.Article Citation Count: 0Assessment of Nursing Students' Attitudes and Awareness Towards Professional Research and Development;(AVES, 2020) Dincer,S.; Eker,O.; Deniz,Y.; Karacay,P.; Yazici,O.; Hemşirelik / NursingObjective: To assess nursing students' attitudes and awareness towards research and development and determine the affecting factors. As the sampling group for this study, 410 students, 197 girls and 213 boys, have been chosen from the 6th, 7th, 8th, 9th and 10th grades in three private and two general elementary and high schools in İstanbul. In this study "Peer Victimization Scale", "Peer Bullying Scale", "Parental Attachment Scale" and "Coping Strategies Scale" were utilized to gather data. The results of the analysis indicate that the parental attachment security reasonably predicts the role of the subject (a victim or a bully) for male adolescents in the bullying system. Moreover, it has also been observed that the avoidance strategy among the stress coping strategies plays an intermediary role in the relationship between parental attachment security and exposure to bullying in male adolescents. In other words it strengthens the said relationship. Findings are discussed within the framework of the related literature.Conference Object Citation Count: 0Capacity and association for outdoor small cell LTE-A network;(IEEE Computer Society, 2014) Tureli,U.; Kivanc,D.; Mekatronik / MechatronicsThis paper presents theoretical and numerical analysis of interference and throughput for Long Term Evolution Advanced (LTE-A) outdoor small cells using a detailed simulation. Although there are numerous successful transplant teams, the number of transplantations achieved has not reached the desired level. For this reason, kidney transplantation centers which keep increasing in number, have started different activities to inform these patients about the kidney transplantation. In our study, the patients having applied to three of the transplant centers in Istanbul were observed on how efficacious the activities were on the subjects. Patients and method: Patients having applied to the transplant centers in A (n: 1314), B (n: 27) and C (n: 229) hospitals, in the period between January 2, 2008 and December 31, 2010 were investigated by the organ transplant coordinators about how they were informed about these centers. In this study, it was observed that the patients got to know about the centers through dialysis centers stuffs, nephrologists, other patients, media and internet, etc. sources. We investigated on the differences these sources created in the different hospitals. In addition to these, on July 1, 2010; a website was established by A hospital with the same purpose. Also, the effect of this site in referring patients to the clinic was investigated. Results: We found out that patients were informed about organ transplantation centers from other patients, who have had organ transplantation (40.6%); dialysis centers (32.9%), media (9.6%), nephrologists (8.0%), internet (5.2%) and others (3.6%) (p=0.011). In A hospital, the mean average application number which was 34.6 patients/month went up to 44.5 patients/month after the establishment of the website. The website was found to be the only reason for the increase. Conclusion: Besides the mentioned factors; the internet which lately plays a great role in our daily life, also becomes an important guide for information for patients who want to have organ transplantation.Conference Object Citation Count: 1Cloth Combine Estimation System Using Deep Learning;(Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers Inc., 2020) Kara,B.; Kalkan,H.The clothing companies are paying more attention on meeting their customers on digital platforms and perform their marketing over the cloth combines which are created by fashion designers. Moreover, the companies on e- commerce platform use cloth recommendation system to draw their customers attention and perform sales. The customers browsing the e-commerce sites are facing some cloth recommendations based on the statistics such as 'those looking at this product also looked at this product'. However, beside of statistical recommendations, more intelligence is required to recommend the cloth which combines the cloth that customers own or going to own. In this study, a cloth combine completion system is developed for e-commerce. The system is based deep neural network (DNN) and it is intended to imitate the fashion designer of the brands on digital market. The study is performed over the cloth combines shown on the e-commerce site of an international cloth company. In contrast to applications based on image processing, the clothes are parameterized depending on expert knowledge and a deep neural network is trained to find the best bottom clothing to the selected top clothing. Using the trained network, the brands can create user specific cloth combines as if the combines are performed by fashion-designer. © 2020 IEEE.Review Citation Count: 0Commonly confused terms in medicine;(Nobelmedicus, 2017) Seren,L.P.; Yakıncı,C.Language is an instrument for handing down thoughts, scientific knowledge, poetic and literary works. They can be calculated efficiently from tree based representations of an image. Although mostly implemented with inclusion trees (i.e. component trees and tree of shapes), attribute profiles have been recently adapted to partitioning trees, and specifically α- and ω-trees. Partitioning trees constitute a more flexible option especially when dealing with multivariate data. This work explores the noise robustness of the aforementioned major tree types in terms of pixel classification performance of the resulting attribute profiles, and presents our preliminary findings that support the use of partitioning trees as a basis for attribute profile construction. © 2017 IEEE.Conference Object Citation Count: 1Comparison of Sampling Methods Using Machine Learning and Deep Learning Algorithms with an Imbalanced Data Set for the Prevention of Violence Against Physicians(Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers Inc., 2021) Cakir,H.; Incereis,N.; Akgun,B.T.; Tastemir,A.S.Y.The aim of this study is to compare sampling methods using machine and deep learning algorithms with a small and imbalanced data set for the prevention of violence against physicians. Since most of these vehicles are high cost the sensors used are high sensitive. However, sensors used in low cost robotic applications have low resolution. When non-precision sensor data added to measurement errors caused by different typical of geometry and drive methods, process functions of robots are hitching. To prevent this, five simple-structured filters are designed and compared in this study for low cost distance sensors and GPS sensors data. It has been observed that accuracy of hybrid-structured filters are more suitable than mono-structured filters in the results obtained. © 2016 IEEE.
