person.profile.biographyDr. Özge Karabıyık Acar graduated from Yeditepe University, Genetics and bioengineering department. She started working in the field of cartilage and bone tissue engineering using stem cells. In 2017, Dr. Acar obtained her PhD in biotechnology. She has extensive interest in and expertise in organoid research, biomaterials, and cell and tissue culturing techniques. In her studies, she participated in multiple collaborations within biomaterial science, dentistry, and medicine. Since 2021, she has started working at Istanbul Okan University as an assistant professor in the department of Genetics and bioengineering. In her research, she focuses on the endocrine system, the development/preparation of scaffolds for transplantation, and coordination of in vitro and in vivo organoid research and drugs targeting endocrine system diseases.
