İlişki doyumu, benlik kurgusu ve duygu düzenleme güçlüğü arasındaki ilişki

Abstract

Bu araştırmada en az bir yıldır evli olan kişilerin ilişki doyumu, benlik kurgusu ve duygu düzenleme güçlükleri arasındaki ilişki incelenmiştir. Araştırmanın örneklemini gönüllülük esasına göre internet üzerinden katılım göstermiş, 23-50 yaş arası 573 katılımcı oluşturmaktadır. Araştırma kapsamında verilerin toplanması amacı ile Demografik Bilgi Formu, İlişki Doyumu Ölçeği (İDÖ), Altılı Benlik Kurgusu Ölçeği (6BKÖ) ve Duygu Düzenleme Güçlükler Ölçeği (DDGÖ) kullanılmıştır. Araştırmadaki hipotezleri değerlendirmek için regresyon ve korelasyon analizleri yapılmıştır. Araştırmanın ilk hipoteziyle tutarlı olarak ilişkisel dikey benlik alt boyut puanları ve ilişkisel yatay benlik alt boyut puanları ile ilişki doyumu puanları arasında istatistiksel olarak anlamlı pozitif yönlü bir ilişki olduğu bulunmuştur. Bunun yanı sıra toplulukçu benlik kurgusu ve kişisel benlik kurgusu ile ilişki doyumu arasında da anlamlı pozitif yönlü bir ilişki saptanmıştır. Araştırmanın ikinci hipoteziyle tutarlı olarak ise ilişkisel yatay benlik alt boyut puanları ile duygu düzenleme güçlüğü ölçeğinin alt boyutu olan açıklık puanları arasında istatistiksel olarak anlamlı negatif yönlü bir ilişki olduğu görülmektedir. Kişisel benlik kurgusu puanlarında artış, duygu düzenleme güçlüğü ölçeğinden strateji, kabul etmeme ve açıklık alt boyutlarında azalışa neden olmaktadır. Bu bulgu da benlik kurgusu ve duygu düzenleme güçlüğü arasında negatif ve anlamlı ilişki olduğuna dair araştırmanın ikinci hipoteziyle tutarlıdır.

In this study, the relationship between relationship satisfaction, self-construal and emotion regulation difficulties of people who have been married for at least one year was examined. The sample of the research consists of 573 participants between the ages of 23-50, who participated on the internet on a voluntary basis. Within the scope of the research, Demographic Information Form, Relationship Satisfaction Scale (ISS), Six-Score Self-Establishment Scale (6BDI), and Emotion Regulation Difficulties Scale (DDS) were used to collect data. Regression and correlation analyzes were performed to evaluate the hypotheses in the research. Consistent with the first hypothesis of the study, it was found that there was a statistically significant positive correlation between the relational vertical self sub-dimension scores and the relational horizontal self sub-dimension scores and relationship satisfaction scores. In addition, a significant positive relationship was found between collectivistic self-construal and personal self-construal and relationship satisfaction. Consistent with the second hypothesis of the study, it is seen that there is a statistically significant negative correlation between the relational horizontal self sub-dimension scores and the openness scores, which is the sub-dimension of the emotion dysregulation scale. An increase in personal self-construal scores causes a decrease in strategy, refusal and openness sub-dimensions from the emotion regulation difficulty scale. This finding is consistent with the second hypothesis of the study that there is a negative and significant relationship between self-construal and emotion regulation difficulties.
