Lojistik sektöründe süreç iyileştirme ve örnek bir uygulama

Abstract

Günümüzde uzmanlık alanı lojistik faaliyetleri yönetmek olan lojistik hizmet firmaları müşterileri için en düşük maliyetle, en iyi kalitede ve müşterinin istekleri doğrusunda süreçlerini daha fazla nasıl iyileştirebileceklerini araştırmakta ve bunun için dünyaca kabul görmüş bazı yöntemleri uygulamaktadırlar. Lojistik sektöründe süreç iyileştirme konulu bu tezde, global bir lojistik firmasının bu amaçla yapmış olduğu bir süreç iyileştirme çalışması üzerinden konunun etkileri ve önemi vurgulanmaya çalışılacaktır. Bu tezin araştırmalarında ilgili kitap, makale, dergi ve kaynakların yanı sıra kişisel bilgi ve tecrübelerden yararlanılarak global bir lojistik hizmet firmasının örnek bir uygulaması ile lojistik sektöründe süreç iyileştirme konusu vurgulanmıştır.

Nowadays, logistics companies - whose area of expertise is managing logistical services - are doing amending researches for providing the best service quality, with the lowest costs for their customers, in parallel with their clients' requirements. And for this purpose, logistics companies are applying world-wide accepted methods in order to fulfill their clients' demands. In this, process improvement in logistics sector subjected thesis, based on the true story of the process improvement study of a globally-known logistic company, the effects and importance of the issue will tried to be emphasized. At the research stage of this thesis, with the benefit of the personal knowledge and experiences as well as the related books, magazines, sources and the case-study of a globally known logistics company, the process improvement issue in the logistics sector was emphasized.
