İç ve dış inovasyon yetkinliklerinin inovasyon başarısı üzerindeki etkileri

Abstract

Mevcut literatür inovasyonun farklı yönlerini ve kuruluşların performansını etkileyen faktörlerini önemli miktarda tartışmaktadır. Tüm şirketler, sürdürülebilir kâr artışına ulaşmak için sürdürülebilir inovasyonu amaçladığından, mevcut literatür inovasyon başarısı için iyi yapılandırılmış bir iç inovasyon sisteminin mevcut olması gerekliliğini vurgulamıştır. İç inovasyon sistemi, tüm sistemin başarısını etkileyen kendi boyutlarına sahiptir. Bununla birlikte, kurumun kültürü, şirketlerin iç inovasyon yetkinliği üzerinde etkili olduğu için, iyi bir iç inovasyon sistemi tek başına yeterli değildir. İç inovasyon yetkinliği yüksek ve uygun bir kurumsal kültüre sahip olan tüm şirketler dünya çapında inovatif olma şansına sahip midir? Kurumsal kültürün boyutları, iç inovasyon sistemin hangi boyutlarıyla, ne düzeyde ilişki halindedir? Şirketlerin içinde bulundukları dış çevrenin inovatifliğe etkisi hangi girdilerle, ne düzeydedir? Bu tez, çeşitli inovatif şirketlerle dünyanın en inovatif şirketlerine odaklanarak bu sorulara yanıt vermeyi amaçlamaktadır. Bu tez iç inovasyon sistemi, kurumsal kültür ve dış çevre inovasyon girdilerinin etkileşimi daha açık ortaya koyarak mevcut literatüre değer katmayı amaçlamaktadır. Ayrıca Türkiye'nin inovasyon yetkinliğini anlamaya yönelik bir bakış açısı sunmaktadır.

There is an important literature on the different aspects of innovations and the factors that affect them. Since all companies target sustainable innovation to achieve sustainable profit growth, existing literature has highlighted the emergence of a well-constructed internal innovation system for innovation success. The internal innovation system has its own dimensions effecting the success of the whole system. However, it does not stand alone for the innovation success, since the organizational culture has influence on the internal innovation capacity of the companies. Do all companies having high level of internal innovation capacity; have the chance to reach the worldwide innovativeness? This thesis investigates the correlation between the dimensions of the internal innovation system and organizational culture by focusing on world's most innovative companies in a comparison with various innovative companies. On the other hand, it concentrates on the external innovation capacity as a moderator to answer this question. This thesis aims to add value to the literature by identifying the dominance level of the internal innovation system dimensions, organizational culture and the external innovation capacity on companies' innovation success. This thesis also aims to clarify the national innovation inputs having the biggest effect on company level innovativeness. It also offers a perspective for understanding the competence of innovation in Turkey.
