Türkiye'de sağlık turizmi ve dünya'nın lider ülkelerinden Hindistan ile kıyaslanması

Abstract

Dünya'nın önde gelen sektörlerinden biri haline gelmekte olan sağlık turizmi, gittikçe büyüyen bir sektör olmakla beraber, bu alanda faaliyet ve gelişim göstermek isteyen ülkeler açısından hem sosyal hem de ekonomik gelişime katkı sağlamaktadır. Bu çalışmanın temel amacı; Türkiye'deki ve dünyanın önemli ve gelişmekte olan sağlık turizmi ülkelerinden Hindistan'daki sağlık turizminin mevcut durumu ve gelişimini inceleyerek karşılaştırma yapmak ve sağlık turizminin gelişme olanaklarını araştırmaktır. Bu karşılaştırma neticesinde, ülkelerin üstünlükleri, risk ve tehditleri hakkında bilgi edinilecek, ayrıca daha istikrarlı uygulama ve hedeflere sahip olunacaktır. Bununla beraber, dünya sağlık turizminin mevcut durumu, sağlık turizminin dış kaynak kullanım aracı olarak değerlendirilmesi ve sağlık turizminin avantaj ve dezavantajları gibi konular değişik kaynaklardan incelenerek kuramsal olarak değerlendirilmiştir. Özellikle Türkiye ve Hindistan sağlık turizminin mevcut durumu, geleceğe yönelik fırsatları, güçlü ve zayıf yönleri, ülkelerin turizm çeşitlendirmeleri, ülke ekonomik boyutları ve alternatif turizm olanakları kapsamında incelenmektedir. Global dünyadaki sağlık turizminde Türkiye ve Hindistan, genellikle özel sağlık kuruluşlarının çabalarıyla rekabet etmektedir ve bu nedenle özel sağlık kurumlarının sorunları irdelenmeli ve çözüm önerileri getirilmelidir. Medikal turizm başta olmak üzere sağlık turizmi alanında başı çeken özel sektörün, devlet önderliğinde işbirliği stratejilerine ihtiyaç duyduğu ve kamu sağlık sektörünün de sağlık turizmi alanında daha etkin yer alma zorunluluğu ortaya çıkmıştır. Health tourism, which is becoming one of the leading sectors of the world, is an ever-growing sector, and contributes to both social and economic development for countries that want to operate and develop in this field. The main purpose of this study, is to examine the current situation and development of Turkey‟s and the world's one of the rising and developing health tourism countries India as well as making comparisons between two selected countries and explore the opportunities for development of health tourism. As a result of this research, is analyzing the profile of health tourism in Turkey and in some other countries, making comparisons and investigating the possibilities for improvements. Nevertheless, the information will be obtained regarding the superiorities, risks and intimidations of the countries in addition to have more stable and determined practices and objectives. On the other hand issues such as; the current situation of health tourism in global, the interpretation of health tourism in means of outsourcing, and the advantages-disadvantages of health tourism are attempted to be reviewed from various resources to have a theoretical appraiasal. Especially the advantages-disadvantages and future opportunities concerning health tourism of Turkey and Indıa are discussed within the scope of diversification of country tourism, country economic size and alternative tourism potentials. In the global World health tourism, Turkey and India, were in the competition with the efforts of private healthcare instutitions thus problems shall be identified and appropriate solution suggestions be made. It has emerged that the private healthcare sector, which is leading in the field of health tourism, especially in medical tourism, needs co-operation strategies under the government‟s leadership and the obligation of the public health sector to take part more effectively in the field of health tourism has also emerged.
