İlaç uygulamalarında infüzyon pompası cihazlarının kullanımı ve güvenliği konusunda hemşirelerin yaşadığı sorunların incelenmesi

Abstract

İlaç uygulamalarında infüzyon pompası cihazlarının kullanımı ve güvenliği konusunda hemşirelerin yaşadığı sorunların incelenmesi amacıyla yapılan bu araştırma tanımlayıcı nitelikte olup 1 Şubat- 28 Şubat 2018 tarihleri arasında bir eğitim araştırma hastanesinin infüzyon pompasının kullanıldığı ve izin alınabilen kliniklerinde çalışan 158 hemşire ile gerçekleştirilmiştir. Araştırmada veri toplama aracı olarak hemşirelerin sosyo- demografik özellikleri, infüzyon pompası kullanımı ve sorun yaşanılan konulara yönelik araştırmacı tarafından literatür ve klinik uygulamada karşılaşılan sorunlar doğrultusunda hazırlanan soru formu kullanılmıştır. Elde edilen veriler IBM SPSS 22 programı kullanılarak analiz edilmiştir. Hemşirelerin en fazla cihaz sayısının yeterliliği konusunda, en az ise cihazda ayarlanan doz ve sıvı miktarının doğru bir şekilde gönderilmesi konusunda sorun yaşadıkları tespit edilmiştir. 18-35 yaş grubundaki hemşirelerin, 36 ve üzeri yaş grubuna göre; meslekte çalışma yılı 0-5 yıl arası olan hemşirelerin, meslekte çalışma yılı 6 yıl ve üzeri olan hemşirelere göre; bulundukları klinikte çalışma süresi 0-5 yıl arası olan hemşirelerin, çalışma süresi 6 yıl ve üzeri olan hemşirelere göre; yoğun bakımda çalışan hemşirelerin klinikte çalışan hemşirelere göre daha az sorun yaşadıkları belirlenmiştir. Meslekte çalışma sürelerine göre hemşirelerin cihazla ilgili yaşadıkları sorunların daha çok cihazın teknolojik ve teknik özellikleri ile ilgili olduğu saptanmıştır. Elde edilen bulgular doğrultusunda infüzyon pompası cihazlarının sayılarının arttırılması, cihaz kullanımının yaygınlaştırılması, cihazların tasarlanması ve alınması aşamalarında hemşire görüşlerinin alınması, cihaz kullanımına yönelik etkili eğitim programlarının geliştirilmesi önerilmektedir. This study is descriptive in order to investigate the problems experienced by nurses in the use and safety of infusion pump devices in drug applications. This study was carried out with 158 nurses working in clinics where the infusion pump used of a training research hospital between February 1 - February 28, 2018. In the research, a questionnaire prepared by the researcher about the socio- demographic characteristics of the nurses, the use of an infusion pump and the problems encountered in the literature and clinical practice were used as data collection tools. The obtained data were analyzed using IBM SPSS program. It was found that the nurses had problems most about the adequacy of the number of devices and had least problems about the correct delivery of the dose and fluid amount set in the device. It was determined that the nurses in the 18-35 age group had less problems than the 36 and older age group and the nurses working between 0-5 years had less problems than the nurses who worked in the profession for 6 years and longer. It was found that nurses with 0-5 years of working time in the clinic had less problems than nurses with 6 years or more in the clinic and nurses working in intensive care units had less problems than nurses working in the clinic. It was determined that the problems experienced by the nurses according to their working time in the profession were mostly related to the technological and technical features of the device. In line with the findings, it is recommended to increase the number of infusion pump devices, to expand the use of the devices, to get the opinions of nurses during the design and acquisition of the devices, and to develop effective training programs for the use of the devices.
