Ortaokul 8.sınıf öğrencilerinde internet bağımlılığı -Adana ilinde bir çalışma-

Abstract

Bu tezin amacı 8'inci sınıf öğrencilerin demografik özellikleri ile değişkenler arasındaki ilişkiyi göz önünde bulundurarak, bilgisayar ve internet kullanım alışkanlıklarını belirlemektir. Bu amaçla çalışmanın örneklemini, Adana ili Seyhan, Çukurova, Sarıçam, Yüreğir ilçelerinde tesadüfi örneklem yöntemi ile seçilmiş 200 ortaokul 8'inci sınıf öğrencisi oluşturmaktadır. Öğrenciler için internet ve bilgisayarın günlük hayatlarındaki önemi, kullanım alanları, kullanım yerleri, kullanım sebepleri ayrı ayrı boş bir kâğıda yazdırılarak hazırlanması düşünülen anket hakkında böylece ön bir çalışma yapılmıştır. Daha sonra ise literatür taraması yapılarak ve uzman görüşleri alınarak anket uygulamaya hazırlanmıştır. 20 maddeden oluşan ve güvenirlilik analizi sonucunda 17 maddeye düşürülen anket, beşli likert tipindedir. Araştırma sonucunda elde edilen veriler, SPSS 16 paket programı ile çözümlenmiştir. Verilerin analizi için ise Ki-Kare Testi (Chı-Square Test) kullanılmıştır. Elde edilen verilere bakıldığında öğrencilerin birçoğunun, aile ve arkadaşları ile sinemaya gitmek, sohbet etmek vb. fiziksel aktivitelerle zaman geçirmek yerine bilgisayar (internet) başında oturdukları ve olması gerekenden daha fazla zaman geçirmeye yöneldikleri gözlenmiştir.

The aim of this thesis is to determine 8th grade students of computer and internet usage habits considering the relationship between their variables and demographic characteristics. For this purpose, the sample of the study include 200 secondary school 8th grade students which they are selected in the towns of Seyhan, Çukurova, Sarıçam of Adana by simple random sampling method .Making students to write separately the importance of the internet and computers in daily life for students, use of areas , locations, reasons to a blank sheet of paper, preliminary work has been made in this way about the measure which is thought to prepare . Later it is prepared by developing a survey using literature hatching and experts' views. The scale is a five-point Likert-type which is consisting of 20 items and reduced to 17 items as a result of reliability analysis. The data obtained from the survey results were analyzed by SPSS 16 software package. For the analysis of data the Chi-square test (Chi-Square test) were used. The results are shown in the tables. When we look at the obtained data, most of the students tent to spend more time in front of the computer and on the internet than it should be instead of going to cinema with their family or friends, chatting, doing physical activities, etc.
