Otistik çocuklarda otizm ve beslenme düzeyinin incelenmesi

Abstract

Otizm Spektrum Bozukluğu (OSB), bilişsel becerilerde gecikme, iletişim ve sosyal yaşantıda, ilgi ve etkileşimde büyük ölçüde bozukluk olarak görülen, yaşamın ilk yıllarında ortaya çıkan nörogelişimsel bir bozukluktur. OSB görülen çocuklarda sindirim problemleri, yeme problemleri ve tedavi amaçlı uygulanan diyet yöntemleri ile beslenmelerini düzenlenerek klinik tabloda iyileşmeler görülmektedir. Bu çalışmada otistik çocuklarda otizm ve beslenme düzeyinin incelenmesi amaçlanmıştır. Çalışmaya Adana Mavi Özel Eğitim Merkezi ve M. Adil İkiz Çocuk Merkezi'ndeki 0-7 yaş arası 50 OSB'li ve 50 sağlıklı toplam 100 çocuk dahil edilmiştir. Çalışmada çocuğa ve aileye ait genel bilgiler, çocukların beslenmesine yönelik bilgiler ve besin tüketim sıklıkları değerlendirilmiştir. Anket uygulaması sonucu elde edilen veri seti SPSS(V21) Statistical Package for Social Sciences) paket programında analiz edilmiştir. Analiz kapsamında frekans tabloları, betimleyici istatistikler, ki kare testi, bağımsız örneklem t-testi analizlerinden faydalanılmıştır. Elde edilen veriler değerlendirildiğinde OSB'li çocuklarda kazeinsiz, glütensiz ve ketojenik diyet uygulayanlarda iyileştirici etkisi olduğu görülmüştür. Aşırı şekerli besinler kısıtlandığında çocuklarda konsantrasyon arttığı gözlenmiştir. OSB'li çocuklar beslenme yetersizliği açısından risk altında olduğundan besin tüketim kayıtlarıyla takip edilmeli ve aileler daha fazla eğitimlerle bilgilendirilmelidir. AUTISTIC CHILDREN INVESTIGATION OF AUTISM AND NUTRITIONAL LEVEL Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) is a neurodevelopmental disorder that occurs in the first years of life, which is seen as a major impairment in interest and interaction, delay in cognitive skills, communication and social life. Improvements in the clinical picture can be seen in children with ASD by regulating their nutrition with digestive problems, eating problems and dietary methods. The aim of this study is to evaluate the nutritional status of children with ASD and healthy children. A total of 100 participants (50 ASD and 50 healthy children) aged between 0-7 years in Adana Blue Special Education Center and M. Adil Twin Children Center were included in the study. In this study, general information about the child and the family, information about the nutrition of children and the frequency of food consumption were evaluated. The data set obtained as a result of the survey was analyzed in SPSS (V21) (Statistical Package for Social Sciences) package program. Frequency tables, descriptive statistics, chi-square test, independent sample t-test analysis were used in the analysis. When the data obtained are evaluated, there is a positive relationship with the healing effect of those who have casein-free, gluten-free and ketogenic diet in children with ASD. When excessive sugary foods were restricted, increase was observed in children. As children with ASD are at risk for nutritional deficiency, they should be followed up with nutritional consumption records and families should be informed by further training.
