Article Citation Count: 101Adaptation, validity, and reliability of the metacognition questionnaire-30 for the Turkish population, and its relationship to anxiety and obsessive-compulsive symptoms(Turkiye Sinir ve Ruh Sagligi dernegi, 2008) Tosun, Ahmet; Irak, MetehanObjective: The present study aimed to evaluate the psychometric properties of the short form of the Metacognition Questionnaire (MCQ-30) in a population of Turkish university students. The metacognitions questionnaire (MCQ) measures individual differences in a selection of metacognitive beliefs, judgments, and monitoring tendencies considered important in the metacognitive model of psychological disorders. Method: The study included 850 university students from 15 Turkish universities. Mean age age of the participants was 21.22 years, 282 (33.17%) were female, and 558 (66.82%) were male. Results: Construct validity was evaluated by exploratory and confirmatory factor analysis (CIA). Exploratory factor analysis revealed that the Turkish version of MCQ-30 has 5 components, which is some factor structure as the original form. In addition, the fit indices of CIA suggested an acceptable fit to a 5-factor model consistent with the original MCQ-30. The Turkish MCQ-30 showed acceptable to good test-retest reliability, internal consistency, and convergent validity. Significant positive relationships between the subscales of MCQ-30 and measures of anxiety and obsessive-compulsive symptoms provided further support for the convergent validity of the Turkish version. Moreover significant negative correlations were observed between age and the MCQ-30 subscales, and the effect of gender was significant on some of the subscales. Conclusion: The psychometric properties of the Turkish version of MCQ-30 showed that the instrument is a valuable additional tool for the assessment of metacognition in Turkey.Conference Object Citation Count: 5AN ANALYSIS OF CONCURRENCE ENTANGLEMENT MEASURE AND QUANTUM FISHER INFORMATION OF QUANTUM COMMUNICATION NETWORKS OF TWO-QUBITS(Ieee, 2014) Erol, Volkan; Bugu, Sinan; Ozaydin, Fatih; Altintas, Azmi Ali; Bilgisayar Mühendisliği / Computer EngineeringQuantum entanglement is one of key concepts in quantum communication engineering. Ordering the quantum systems according to their entanglement measures is a popular problem of the field. For two level (qubit) systems of two particles, state ordering has been studied with respect to well-known entanglement measures such as Concurrence, Negativity and Relative Entropy of Entanglement (REE) [1-5]. In this work, we study the state ordering of the two-qubit systems with respect to Quantum Fisher Information vs. Concurrence. In particular, constructing 1K random states and calculating their Concurrences and Negativities, we obtain the orderings of the states by comparing these results with Quantum Fisher Information values and present our results which are interesting when compared to that of two-level systems.Conference Object Citation Count: 2Analysis of Negativity and Relative Entropy of Entanglement Measures for Qubit-Qutrit Quantum Communication Systems(Ieee, 2015) Erol, Volkan; Ozaydin, Fatih; Altintas, Azmi AliQuantum Computers are provisioned as very high performance computers using quantum mechanical aspects for information processing. Quantum Information Theory and Quantum Computing topics are really popular topics in academia aiming the construction of theoretical background of Quantum Computers. The information processing units for Quantum Computers are defined as qubits but for some problems three level (trinary) systems may be applied as well. We call these three level systems as qutrits. The scope of this work is the analysis of well-defined entanglement measures Negativity and Relative Entropy of Entanglement (REE) [1-5] for qubit-qutrit quantum systems. In this manner, for randomly generated 1000 qubit-qutrit and 1000 two qubit states the mentioned measures are calculated and these values are compared. These comparisons are analyzed and for quantum state ordering problem, very interesting results are reported.Article Citation Count: 0Article Citation Count: 2An Analysis of the Relationship between Organizational Justice and Organizational Cynicism According to the Perceptions of Teachers(dergipark Akad, 2019) Samdan, Tuncay; Atanur Baskan, GulsunThe aim of this study is to examine the relationship between organizational justice and organizational cynicism according to the perceptions of teachers. 789 teachers constitute the quantitative and 20 teachers constitute the qualitative sample group of this mixed method study. Spiral Model: Human Rights Institutions-State-EU Relations in Turkey(Uluslararasi Iliskiler Konseyi dernegi, 2011) Alemdar, Zeynep; Uluslararası İlişkiler / International RelationsBoomerang and spiral models, explaining the ways in which domestic actors form transnational networks with international organizations in order to change the repressive policies of their states, argue that these international interactions are effective in the implementation and internalization of international human rights norms. In the Turkish case, although the EU accession process gave way to foundation of human rights institutions, and new laws were enacted, we observe that the institutions are organized and they function ineffectively, and the laws can be overturned through practices. These examples show that despite their predictions, the boomerang model can run in reverse, the spiral model does not run in its gradual course. A comparative look at the Turkish case also shows that the models' main weakness is not only that they lack a more comprehensive look at how the international and domestic interact but also they need a better look at the internal dynamics of the international organizations that are the networking partners.Article Citation Count: 2Attachment and Being in Bullying System: Mediational Role of Coping Strategies(Turkish Psychologists Assoc, 2010) Ozen, Dilek Sirvanli; Aktan, TimucinThe objective of this study is to determine whether the parental attachment style of the adolescent plays a role in his/her exposure to bullying or being its perpetrator and to explicate the intermediary role of the coping strategies in this relation. As the sampling group for this study, 410 students, 197 girls and 213 boys, have been chosen from the 6th, 7th, 8th, 9th and 10th grades in three private and two general elementary and high schools in Istanbul. In this study "Peer Victimization Scale", "Peer Bullying Scale", "Parental Attachment Scale" and "Coping Strategies Scale" were utilized to gather data. The results of the analysis indicate that the parental attachment security reasonably predicts the role of the subject (a victim or a bully) for male adolescents in the bullying system. Moreover, it has also been observed that the avoidance strategy among the stress coping strategies plays an intermediary role in the relationship between parental attachment security and exposure to bullying in male adolescents. In other words it strengthens the said relationship. Findings are discussed within the framework of the related literature.Conference Object Citation Count: 0BARTER TRANSACTION IN IAS AND AN APPLICATION FOR RECOGNITION(Pressacademia, 2016) Tas, Oktay; Mert, Huseyin; Dukan, Oguz; Muhasebe ve Denetim / Accounting and AuditingBarter , today's commercial life alongside the monetary payment is n important payment system. Barter system is being studied in recent years to be used more efficiently and effectively. Today 's commercial life and very diversified needs, increasing the limit to eliminate to barriers of trade and boost the activity between firms also it is very important. The use of this system will be able to effectively connect with the rules at the local and the international system. Otherwise the international arena rather than in the local implementation of the barter system will be difficult. Several group and its subsectors engage in barter transactions, typically exchanging advertising for advertising, goods or services. In these transactions between companies is required an accounting standards.Especially new accounting standards could change how the transaction price is measured in these transactions. Advertising for advertising Revenue is not recognized in an exchange of similar goods or services. However, if the medium of advertising exchanged is dissimilar in nature, revenue is recognized as the fair value of the advertising supplied. Other than advertising for advertising Revenue is measured at the fair value of the goods or services received, adjusted by the amount of any cash or cash equivalents received or paid. If the fair value of the goods or services received cannot be reliably measured, the revenue is measured at the fair value of the goods or services given up, adjusted by the amount of cash or cash equivalents received. A seller that provides goods and services in the course of its ordinary activities recognises revenue under IAS 18 Revenue from a barter transaction involving advertising when, amongst other criteria, the services exchanged are dissimilar and the amount of revenue can be measured reliably.Barter is a system tahat it is commonly used as a revenue and payment system amongst other business. The purpose of our study is to explain the barter system and evaluate clearly the accounting process process of barter activities. In this artical the accounting and reporting of barter sytem is analyzed based on IFRS and practice aplications.Conference Object Citation Count: 0Capacity and Association for Outdoor Small Cell LTE-A Network(Ieee, 2014) Tureli, Ufuk; Kivanc, DidemThis paper presents theoretical and numerical analysis of interference and throughput for Long Term Evolution Advanced (LTE-A) outdoor small cells using a detailed simulation. They can be calculated efficiently from tree based representations of an image. Although mostly implemented with inclusion trees (i.e. component trees and tree of shapes), attribute profiles have been recently adapted to partitioning trees, and specifically alpha- and omega-trees. Partitioning trees constitute a more flexible option especially when dealing with multivariate data. This work explores the noise robustness of the aforementioned major tree types in terms of pixel classification performance of the resulting attribute profiles, and presents our preliminary findings that support the use of partitioning trees as a basis for attribute profile construction.Conference Object Citation Count: 1COMPETITIVE STRATEGY IN MARKETING(Pressacademia, 2015) Saka, Lutfi; İşletme / Business AdministrationKey factors in all business are not only to maximize profit in the short term but also It should be created with a successful strategy to provide market recovery. The main topic of this article is to clarify why the market organization gains this important goal. Companies should compete each other to win. They have to effort in order to be the best disciplined market. In other words, they have purposes in terms of having a word about customers and companies' lives and having a leadership role in market chosen and business areas to compete. Competitive pressures are forcing companies increasingly high cost efficiency to accelerate the product development process of continuously developing and monitoring the production process for the win. Companies can take advantage of the rapid progress in information technology and telecommunications fields to create a knowledge economy. Comparing economy to industrial revolution, economy fields have more comprehensive information process and it is benefiting from this advantages. Structures of the organization, replacement of the avoiding the significant reduction in the size of headquarters and in order to recover from the centralization the authority within the hierarchical system are the progress made in this information process. No longer, the companies must promote for needed the information for the decision-making processes to accelerate and to carry out up to lower levels within the company. Because, this motivates to the employees for their reactionary through "aggressive dynamic faster to the act" is authorized to have courage of a personality by taking the risk. At the same time, this causes to the flattening their organizational structures by destroying middle managers their organizational structures.Conference Object Citation Count: 0COMPUTER AIDED DESIGN AND PARAMETRIC ANALYSIS OF RECTANGULAR MICROSTRIP PATCH ANTENNA(Ieee, 2014) Kucuk, Funda; Ozer, Ali Ziya; Ogut, Erdem; Bolukbas, DenizNowadays, microstrip antennas, with the advantages of low cost, easy to use and easy production have quite wide application area.
