Abstract
Bu çalışmada ortaöğretim kurumlarında görev yapan öğretmenlerin okulda alınan kararlara katılma düzeylerinin belirlenmesi amaçlanmıştır. Araştırmada genel tarama modeli kullanılmıştır. Araştırmada, 'Karara Katılım Ölçeği' kullanılmıştır'. Ölçek iki bölümden oluşmaktadır, birinci bölümde öğretmenlerin kişisel özelliklerini belirlemek için yedi madde bulunmaktadır. İkinci bölümde ise 10'u öğretim alanında 17'si yönetim alanında olmak üzere 27 karar konusu bulunmaktadır. Kararlara katılma durumlarını ölçmek için 'soru 1' yer almaktadır, kararlara katılma isteklerini ölçmek için ise 'soru 2' yer almaktadır. Araştırmaya dahil olan öğretmenlerin, karara katılma durumları ve istekleri; cinsiyet, mesleki kıdem, bulunduğu okuldaki çalışan öğretmen sayısı, görev yapmakta oldukları okul türü, öğrenim düzeyi ve branş değişkenleriyle birlikte incelenmesi amaçlanmıştır. Araştırmanın evrenini, 2021–2022 eğitim öğretim yılında İstanbul ili Avrupa yakası Güngören, Küçükçekmece ve Sultangazi ilçelerinde liselerde görev yapan 3227 öğretmen oluşturmaktadır. Araştırmanın örneklemini ise Güngören, Küçükçekmece ve Sultangazi ilçeleri liselerinde görev yapan öğretmenlerden 'uygun örnekleme yöntemi' ile seçilen 161 erkek ve 212 kadın öğretmen olmak üzere toplam 373 öğretmen oluşturmaktadır. Toplanılan verilerin analizi 'SPSS' paket programı ile yapılmıştır. Araştırmada, aşağıdaki bulgular elde edilmiştir: Liselerde görev yapan öğretmenler, karara katılımlarını 'biraz' olarak belirtmişlerdir. Liselerde görev yapan öğretmenler karara katılıma isteklerini 'biraz' olarak belirtmişlerdir. Karara katılma durumu ve karara katılma isteği puanları arasında karara katılma isteği lehine anlamlı farklılık bulunmuştur. Öğretimsel karara katılma durumu ve yönetimsel karara katılma durumu puanları arasında öğretimsel karara katılma durumu lehine anlamlı farklılık bulunmuştur. Öğretimsel karara katılma durumu ve yönetimsel karara katılma isteği puanları arasında öğretimsel karara katılma isteği lehine anlamlı farklılık bulunmuştur. Karara katılma durumu puanlarının; cinsiyet, öğrenim durumu, mesleki kıdem ve okuldaki öğretmen sayısı değişkenlerine göre farkın anlamlı olmadığı bulunmuştur. Karara katılma durumu puanlarının; branş ve okul türü değişkenine göre gruplar arası anlamlı fark bulunmuştur. Karara katılma isteği puanlarının; cinsiyet, öğrenim durumu, branş ve mesleki kıdeme göre farkın anlamlı olmadığı bulunmuştur. Karara katılma isteği puanlarının; okul türü ve okulda çalışan öğretmen sayısı değişkenine göre gruplar arası anlamlı fark bulunmuştur.
In this study, it was aimed to determine the participation level of teachers working in secondary education in the decision making in schools. General scanning model was used in the study. 'Decision Participation Scale' was used in the research. The scale consists of two parts, in the first part there are seven items to determine the personal characteristics of teachers. In the second part, there are 27 decision topics, 10 in the field of education and 17 in the field of management. To measure their participation in decisions Question 1 is included for the participants, and question 2 is included to measure their willingness to participate in the decisions. Participation level of teachers, who take part in the research, in decision making and their willingness to participate in decision making were aimed to be analyzed considering the following variables; gender, professional seniority, the number of teachers working in the school, the type of the school, education level and branch. Research population consists of 3227 teachers working in high schools in Güngören, Küçükçekmece and Sultangazi district high schools on the European side of Istanbul in the 2021-2022 academic year. Research sample consists of a total of 373 teachers, 161 male and 212 female teachers, who were selected using the 'suitable sample method' from the teachers working in Güngören, Küçükçekmece and Sultangazi district high schools. The analysis of the collected data was carried out using the 'SPSS' package program. The following findings were obtained in the reseach: Teachers working in high schools stated their participation in decision making as 'a little'. Teachers working in high schools stated their willingness to participate in decision making as 'a little'. A significant difference was detected in favor of the willingness to participate in decision making between the scores of participation level in decision making and willingness to participate in decision making. A significant difference was detected in favor of participation level in instructional decision making between the scores of participation level in instructional decision making and participation level in administrative decision making. A significant difference was detected in favor of willingness to participate in instructional decision making between the scores of willingness to participate instructional decision making and willingness to participate in administrative decision making. In the scores of participation level, no significant difference was detected among the groups taking into account the following variables: gender, professional seniority, the number of teachers working in the school. In the scores of participation level, a significant difference was detected among the groups taking into account the following variables: branch and school type. In the scores of willingness to participate, no significant difference was detected among the groups taking into account the following variables: gender, education level, branch and professional seniority. In the scores of willingness to participate, a significant difference was detected among the groups taking into account the following variables: school type and the number of teachers working in the school.
