Abstract
Her grupta 50 hasta yer almaktadır. Objective: This study aimed to examine the relationship between depression and anxiety levels of patients who applied for MRI-Fusion Biopsy procedure for prostate cancer examination. Materials and Methods: The study was conducted with 150 male patients who met the research criteria in the Urology Service of Istanbul Haseki Training and Research Hospital. The patients participating in the study were divided into 3 groups as those who were given verbal, visual and video-based training. There are 50 patients in each group. Results: The mean age of the patients participating in the study was 64.3±8.2 years, and the mean body mass index was 27.5±2.7 kg/m². The mean PSA value was 13.7±9 ng/ml and the mean prostate volume was 65.7±28.9 cc. No statistically significant difference was found in the comparison of the demographic data of the groups. It was found as p:0.084, p:0.902, p:0.198 for age, height and weight, respectively. The mean PSA values of the patients were found to be statistically significantly different between the groups (p:0.001). Anxiety scores were 5.1±3.2 for the verbal group, 4.2±3.3 for the visual group, 4.5±2.1 for the video group, and no statistically significant difference was found between the groups (p:0.180) . Depression scores were mean 4.1±3.0 for the verbal group, 4.4±3.3 for the visual group, and 3.3±2.1 for the video group, and were statistically similar between the groups (p:0.439). Conclusion As a result of the research, the sample number was determined as 150 people. The anxiety and depression scores of the people included in the sample did not differ between the groups.
