Abstract
Çalışma verilerinin değerlendirilmesinde tanımlayıcı istatistiksel metodlar, Kolmogorov-Smirnov, One Way ANOVA, Tukey ve independent t testleri kullanıldı. Araştırmaya katılan 18-24 yaş grubundaki hemşirelerin doğru cevap sayısı diğer yaş gruplarından, çalışma süresi 1 yıldan az olan hemşirelerin doğru cevap sayısı 1-5 yıl, 6-10 yıl ve 11 yıl ve üzeri olanlardan, yoğun bakım kliniğinde çalışan hemşirelerin doğru cevap sayısı acil kliniğinde çalışanlardan ve mezuniyet sonrası kardiyopulmoner resüsitasyon eğitimi almayan hemşirelerin doğru cevap sayısı kardiyopulmoner resüsitasyon eğitimi alanlardan anlamlı düzeyde düşük saptandı (p<0,05). İleri yaşam desteği sertifikasına sahip hemşirelerin (%12,3, n=25) doğru cevap sayısı ise sertifika sahibi olmayanlara göre yüksek bulundu. Hemşirelerin %43,1'inin (n=88) 2015 AHA kılavuzundan haberdar olduğu saptandı. Hemşirelerin sadece %41,7'sinin (n=85) erişkinlerde temel yaşam desteği sırasının CAB olduğunu bildiği tespit edildi. Hemşirelerin bilgi düzeyleri hizmet içi programlar ile geliştirilmeli, kardiyopulmoner resüsitasyona yönelik güncel bilgilerden haberdar olmaları sağlanmalıdır. This is a descriptive study which aimed to assess the current status of nurses in terms of cardiopulmonary resuscitation in adult patients. The population of the study consisted of 245 nurses working at the emergency and intensive care units of Şişli Hamidiye Etfal Research and Training Hospital and Okmeydanı Research and Training Hospital, andthe study sample consisted of 204 nurses who worked at the same hospitals and agreed to participate the study voluntarily. Data was collected using a two-section interview form. The first section of the form consisted of 18 questions related to personal data of nursesand the second section consisted of 30 questions which were developed based on 2015Guideline of American Heart Association (AHA) and were related to current information on cardiopulmonary resuscitation (App. 1). Interview forms were applied to the sample between June and July 2017. Of descriptive statistical methods, Kolmogorov-Smirnov, One-way ANOVA, Tukey and independent t-tests were used to assess the study data. The number of correct answers by the nurses in the age range of 18-24 years were determined to be significantly lower than those in other age ranges, the nurses with an experience of less than one year than those with an experience of 1 to 5 years, 6 to 10 years, and over 11 years, the nurses working at the intensive care unit than those working at emergency unit, and the nurses who did not receive cardiopulmonary resuscitation training after graduation than those who did (p<0.05). The number of correct answers by the nurses with Advanced Life Support Certificate (12.3%, n=25) were determined to be higher than those without one. It was found that 43.1% of the nurses (n=88)had knowledge about 2015 AHA guideline. It was determined that only 41.7 % of the nurses (n=85)knew that the sequence of basic life support in adults was CAB. Based on the results of the study, it was concluded that the level of knowledge in nurses should be raised through on-the-job training activities and they should be supported to receive current information on cardiopulmonary resuscitation.
