Abstract
Araştırma, hemşirelerin mizah tarzlarının iş doyumları üzerine etkisini incelemek amacıyla tanımlayıcı ve kesitsel olarak yapılmıştır. Araştırma kapsamına; Başkent Üniversitesi Ankara Hastanesi, Başkent Üniversitesine bağlı Adana, Alanya, İstanbul, İzmir, Konya Araştırma ve Uygulama Merkezlerinde çalışan 681 hemşire alınmıştır. Araştırmada; demografik ve mesleki özellikleri belirlemeye yönelik Kişisel Bilgi Formu, Hemşire İş Doyum Ölçeği ve Mizah Tarzları Ölçeği kullanılmıştır. Verilerin değerlendirilmesinde SPSS 20,0 istatistik paket programı kullanılmıştır. Verilerin istatistiksel analizlerinde; yüzde ve frekans hesaplama, tanımlayıcı istatistik yöntemlerinden t-testi, tek yönlü varyans analizi (ANOVA) ve korelasyon analizi kullanılmıştır. Araştırmada; hemşirelerin toplam iş doyum düzeyleri orta seviyede saptanmıştır. Yaşı 30 ve üzeri, evli, 2 ve üzeri sayıda çocuk sahibi olan hemşirelerin iş doyumlarının yüksek; lisans üstü ve doktora mezunu olan hemşirelerin iş doyum düzeylerinin düşük olduğu saptanmıştır. Çalışma süresi 15 yıl ve üzerinde olan, sorumlu hemşire olarak görev yapan, nöbet tutmayan ve hafta sonu çalışmayan hemşirelerin iş doyum düzeyleri yüksek bulunmuştur. Hemşirelerin mizah tarzları arasında en çok katılımcı mizah tarzını kullandıkları belirlenmiştir. Cinsiyete göre, erkek hemşirelerde saldırgan ve kendini yıkıcı mizah tarzı kullanımı, kadın hemşirelere göre daha fazla bulunmuştur. Katılımcı ve kendini geliştirici mizah tarzlarını kullanan hemşirelerin iş doyum düzeylerinin yüksek olduğu saptanmıştır. Araştırmada, hemşirelerin kullandıkları mizah tarzlarının iş doyum düzeyini etkilediği ve mizahın iş doyumunu arttırmak için bir yöntem olarak kullanılabileceği belirlenmiştir.
This research was carried out as descriptive and cross-sectional to investigate the effects of nurses' humor styles on job satisfaction. 681 nurses, who had been working for Başkent University Ankara Hospital and Başkent University Adana, Alanya, İstanbul, İzmir, Konya Research and Practice Center, took part in the research. Form of Personel Information, Nurse Job Satisfaction Questionnaire and Humor Styles Questionnaire was used in the research to reveal demographic and occupational characteristics. SPSS 20,0 statistics software package was used to analyze data. Percentage and frequency calculation, t-test and one way variance analysis (ANOVA) from descriptive statistics methods and correlation analysis were applied in the statistical analysis of data. Nurses' total job satisfaction levels were found at medium levels in the research. High levels of job satisfaction in ≥ 30 years old nurses, married nurses and nurses who have ≥2 children and low levels of job satisfaction in nurses who have postgraduate education or doctorate were established. The job satisfaction levels of nurses who had been working for 15 years or longer, who worked as responsible nurse, who didn't have night shift and who didn't work at weekends was also found high. It has been determined that nurses mostly use affiliative humor style among humor styles. In terms of gender, the use of aggressive and self-defeating humor styles among male nurses was found more than among female nurses. The levels of job satisfaction of nurses who used affiliative and self-enhancing humor styles were determined high. In this research, it has been stated that the humor styles which nurses use affect job satisfaction and humor can be used as a method to increase job satisfaction.
