Spina bifida'lı çocuklarda kinezyo bant uygulamasının oturma dengesi üzerine etkisi

Abstract
Bu çalışmanın amacı Myelomeningosel tip Spina Bifida (SB)' lı çocuklarda Erektör Spina, İnternal ve Eksternal Oblik Abdominal kasları üzerine fasilitasyon yöntemi ile uygulanan Kinezyo Bant uygulamasının oturma dengesine etkisini incelemektir. Çalışma Myelomeningosel tip SB tanısı konmuş 5-15 yaş aralığındaki 26 olgu ile tamamlanmıştır. Olgular randomize kontrollü şekilde Grup 1 (n=13) ve Grup 2 (n=13) olarak ikiye ayrılmıştır. Grup 1' e Nörogelişimsel tedavi (NGT) programı uygulanırken Grup 2' ye NGT programı ile birlikte Erektör Spina, İnternal ve Eksternal Oblik Abdominal kaslarına, her iki tarafta olmak üzere fasilitasyon tekniği kullanılarak Kinezyo Bant uygulanmıştır. Her iki gruba da haftada 2 defa, her seans 40 dakika olacak şekilde 2 ay (8 hafta) boyunca NGT programı uygulanmıştır. Grup 2 ye ise her seans Kinezyo Bant uygulaması yapılmıştır. Kaba motor fonksiyonlar Kaba Motor Fonksiyon Ölçümü (KMFÖ) testi ile, postüral kontrol Gövde Kontrol Ölçüm Skalası (TCMS) testi ile, fonksiyonellik Modifiye Fonksiyonel Uzanma Testi ile ve Oturma dengesi Nintendo Wii ile değerlendirilmiştir. Yapılan değerlendirme sonucu Kinezyo Bant uygulanan olguların KMFÖ puanlarında , TCMS değerlerinde, Modifiye Fonksiyonel Uzanma Testi değerlerinde ve Nintendo wii skorlarında istatistiksel olarak anlamlı iyileşme görülmüştür ( p<0.05). Çalışma sonunda, myelomeningosel tip SB' li çocuklara NGT programına ek olarak Kinezyo Bant uygulamanın; kaba motor fonksiyonlar, postüral kontrol, fonksiyonellik ve oturma dengesi üzerinde faydalı olabileceği kanısına varılmıştır. The aim of this study was to investigate the effect of Kinesio taping on the sitting balance of the erector spina, internal and external oblique abdominal muscles in myelomeningocele type Spina Bifida (SB) children. The study was completed with 26 cases aged 5-15 years who were diagnosed with myelomeningocele type SB. The cases were divided into two groups as randomized Grup 1 (n = 13) and Grup 2 (n = 13) groups. While applying Neurodevelopmental Therapy (NGT) program to Group 1, Kinesio Tape was applied to Group 2, together with NGT program, on both sides of the Erector Spina, Internal and External Oblique Abdominal muscles using facilitation technique. NGT program was applied to both groups 2 times a week for 2 months (8 weeks) with 40 minutes per session. In Group 2, Kinesio Tape was applied to each session. Sitting balance was evaluated with Nintendo Wii, functionality was evaluated with Modified Functional Reach Test, postural control Trunk Control Measurement Scale (TCMS), and gross motor functions were evaluated by Gross Motor Function Measurement (GMFM) test. As a result of the evaluation, statistically significant improvement was observed in the KMFÖ scores, TCMS values, Modified Functional Reach Test values and Nintendo wii scores of the patients undergoing Kinesio Taping (p <0.05). At the end of the study, Kinesio Taping applied in addition to the NGT program in children with myelomeningocele type SB; It has been concluded that it may be beneficial on gross motor functions, postural control, functionality and sitting balance.
