Abstract
Bu çalışmada 36-72 aylık okul öncesi eğitim alan çocukların anne ve babaya yüklediği toplumsal cinsiyet kalıp yargılarının belirlenmesi amaçlanmıştır. Araştırmada nitel araştırma yöntemlerinden birisi olan durum çalışması kullanılmıştır. Araştırmanın katılımcılarını %58'i kız %42'si erkek çocuk olmak üzere toplam 50 çocuktan oluşturmaktadır. With this study, it was aimed to determine the gender stereotypes that children who receive pre-school education for 36-72 months ascribe to their parents. One of the qualitative research methods, the case study was used in the research. The participants of the study consist of a total of 50 children, 58% of whom are girls and 42% are boys. Multiple data collection methods were used in this study. These are personal information form, observation and interview techniques used to make in-depth descriptions. The data of the study were obtained from children residing in Çekmeköy, Ümraniye and Pendik regions located in the Anatolian Side of Istanbul in the fall semester of 2020-2021. By making use of the data obtained through the pilot study by the researcher, a picture of mother and father in accordance with gender stereotypes ( the first family) and a picture of mother and father with reverse stereotypes (the second family) were prepared and necessary arrangements were made by receiving expert opinions. The content analysis method was used in the data analysis process. According to the findings obtained in the research, it was observed that in the first impression reactions of the children, the father received more reactions from the mother, and the (first) reactions towards the father centered upon 'long and blond hair' and 'clothing', respectively; while the (first) reactions towards the mother concentrated on 'clothing' and 'short hair', respectively. Another finding of the research is; (according to the children) for both families, it was stated that the mother did the most 'cleaning' inside the house; whereas, with respect to fathers, while the father in the first family did the most 'work outside the house', the father in the second family did the 'cleaning job' the most.
