Abstract
Bu çalışmanın amacı; uyku merkezlerinize çeşitli uyku problemleri nedeniyle başvuran hastaların; depresyon düzeyini, yaşam kalitesini ve uyku kalitesi düzeylerini belirlemek ve bunlar arasındaki ilişkiyi araştırmaktır. Kesitsel tipteki bu araştırma; Haziran-Ağustos 2013 tarihleri arasında, Kayseri Eğitim ve Araştırma Hastanesi Nöroloji ve Göğüs Hastalıkları Kliniklerine bağlı, uyku merkezlerine Polisomnografi (PSG) için başvuran 229 hasta oluşturmuştur. Araştırmada veri toplama aracı olarak; sosyo-demografik veri formu, Beck Depresyon Ölçeği (BDÖ), Pittsburgh Uyku Kalitesi İndeksi (PUKİ), Dünya Sağlık Örgütü Yaşam Kalitesi Ölçeği (WHOQOL-Bref) kullanılmıştır. Sürekli değişkenlerin analizinde parametrik ve nonparametrik testler uygulanmıştır. Çalışmamızda; ileri yaşta, evli, çalışmayan, kronik bir hastalığa sahip olan, depresif belirtisi olan ve şiddetli düzeyde depresif belirtiye sahip olan hastaların uyku kalitesi anlamlı düzeyde kötü bulunmuştur. Herhangi bir kronik hastalığı olan hastaların PUKİ toplam puanları ve depresyon puanları kronik hastalığı olmayan hastalara göre anlamlı düzeyde yüksek iken, Bedensel, Ruhsal ve Sosyal alan WOQOL-Bref puanları ise anlamlı düzeyde düşük bulunmuştur. Sigara içen hastaların PUKİ toplam puanları ve depresyon puanları, bedensel, ruhsal ve sosyal alan WOQOL- Bref puanları sigara içmeyen hastalara göre anlamlı düzeyde yüksek bulunmuştur. BDÖ ve PUKİ ile WHOQOL-Bref yaşam kalitesi alt ölçek puanları arasında negatif yönde, PUKİ puanları ile BDÖ puanları arasında pozitif yönde anlamlı ilişki bulunmuştur. İleri yaşta olan, evli olan, çalışmayan, kronik bir hastalığa sahip olan ve şiddetli düzeyde depresif belirtiye sahip olan hastaların uyku kalitesi anlamlı düzeyde kötü bulunmuştur. Depresyon ve uyku kalitesi ile yaşam kalitesi arasında negatif yönde, uyku kalitesi ile depresyon arasında pozitif yönde anlamlı ilişki bulunmuştur. The purpose of this study is to determine the depression levels, qualities of life and sleep qualities of the patients applying to our sleep centers due to various sleep problems and to search for the relation between them. This cross-sectional research includes 229 patients applying to sleep centers which are affiliated to Kayseri Training and Research Hospital Neurology and Pulmonology Clinic located in Kayseri city center. The patients were made appointment for PSG for the first time between June – August 2013. Sociodemographic Data Form, Beck Depression Scale (BDS), Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index (PSQI), World Health Organization Quality of Life Scale (WHOQOL-Bref) have been used in the research as the data collection tools. In the analysis of the continuous variables, parametric and non-parametric tests were carried out. In our study, the sleep qualities of the patients who are elderly, married, nonworking, having a chronic disease, a symptom of depression and severe symptoms of depression were found significantly poor. Total PSQI scores and depression scores of the patients who have a chronic disease were significantly higher than the ones who do not have a chronic disease; an their physical, psychic and social fields WOQOL- Bref scores are found significantly low. Total PSQ scores and depression scores, physical, psysical and social fields WOQOL- Bref scores of the smoking patients are significantly higher than the non-smoking ones.A negatively significant relation is found between BDS and PSQI subscale scores and WHOQOL- Bref subscale scores. A positively significant relation is found between PSQI and BDS scores. The quality of sleep of the patients who are elderly, married, nonworking, having a chronic disease and having the symptoms of depression are found significantly poor. A negatively significant relation is found between depression and quality of sleep and quality of life; a positively significant relation is found between the quality of sleep and depression.
