Abstract
Bu araştırmanın amacı, 18-25 yaş gençlerin sahte statü yaratma ile sosyal medya kullanımının arasındaki ilişkinin incelenmesidir. Ayrıca 18-25 yaş arasındaki gençlerin sosyal medya bağımlılıklarının ve sahte benlik algısı çeşitli demografik değişkenlere göre farklılaşma durumları da incelenmiştir. Bu amaç doğrultusunda, araştırma genel tarama modellerinden ilişkisel tarama modelinde yapılmıştır. Araştırmanın örneklemini Türkiye'de yaşayan, 18-25 yaş arasında, en az ilkokul düzeyinde öğrenimi olan kişiler oluşturmuştur. Araştırmada veri toplamak amacıyla; araştırmacı tarafından geliştirilen 'Kişisel Bilgi Formu', Şahin ve Yağcı (2017) tarafından geliştirilen 'Sosyal Medya Bağımlılığı Ölçeği-Yetişkin Form' ve Akın ve arkadaşları (2013) tarafından geliştirilen 'Sahte Benlik Algısı Ölçeği' kullanılmıştır. Uygulama 'Google anketler' ortamında gerçekleştirilmiştir. Uygulama öncesinde araştırmacı tarafından araştırmayla ilgili açıklamalar ölçeklerin en başında yer almıştır. Elde edilen veriler bilgisayarda 'SPSS 21.0' programında çözümlenmiş, analizlerde anlamlılık değeri 0,05 ve 0,01 düzeyinde alınmış ve bulgular araştırmanın amaçlarına uygun olarak tablolar halinde sunulmuştur. Sosyal medya bağımlılığı ve sahte benlik algısı açısından 18-25 yaş gençlerin cinsiyet, meslek, eğitim durumu, sosyal medya günlük kullanım süresi, hangi sosyal medya platformlarını kullandığı vs. göre pek çok farklılıklar tespit edilmiştir. Bulgulara göre, sahte benlik algısı sahte benlik boyutu ve sahte benlik sosyal kaygı alt boyutu sosyal medya bağımlılığını anlamlı düzeyde yordamaktadır. Sahte benlik algısı alt boyut puanlarının yüksek oluşu sosyal medya bağımlılığı puanlarını pozitif yönde yordamaktadır. Modelin açıklayıcılık oranı ise %32'dir. Bu araştırmadan elde edilen bulguların sosyal medya bağımlılığı ve sahte benlik algısı konusundaki alanyazına katkı sağlayacağı ve araştırmacılara yol göstereceği umulmaktadır. Purpose of this research is to analyse the relation between social media and young people aged between 18-25 who create fake social status. Also , differentiaton of social media addiction and false self perception between young people aged between 18-25 has been analysed based on several demographic variables. In accordance with this purpose , among all of the research – general screening models , relational research –screening model has been used. Examples of this research constitues the young people aged between 18-25 with minimum primary scholl education. In order to collect data in the research, ''Personal Information Form'' which was developed by the researcher, '' Social Media Addiction Scale – Adult Form'' which was developed by Şahin and Yağcı(2017) , and ''False Self -Perception Scale'' which was developed by Akın and his friends(2013) have been used. These sclaes and exercises were carried out on ''Google Questionnaire''.All the explanations of the research has been displayed on top of the questionnaire beforehand by the researcher. All of the datas has been resolved on computer environment on a computer programme ''SPSS 21.0''.Significance level on the analyseare between 0,05 and 0,01 and results has been presented with charts in fit for purpose of the research. During the questionnaire , sex, profession, educational background, duration of social media usage during the day , names of the social medias which are being used and etc. of young people aged between 18-25 were determined. According to the results, false self-perception, false self extent and false self anxiety sub-dimension predicts the social media addiction in a significant level. High records of false self perception sub-dimension also predicts the social media addiction records in a positive way. Explanatoriness rate of the model is %32. It is hoped and expected that results form this research will contribute and guide the literature on social media addiction and false self-perception in future.
