Abstract
In this thesis, it is aimed to reveal the views of nurses working in a public education and research hospital about their professional organizations and to examine these views scientifically. The population of the research consists of 746 nurses working in a public education and research hospital in the Ümraniye district of Istanbul. The study was completed with data from a total of 291 people. In order to collect data in the study, the Professional and Personal Information Form and the Nurses' Opinions on Professional Organizations Form were used as data collection tools. Of the 291 nurses participating in the study, 112 were male and 179 were female. 21.3% of the participants are between the ages of 22-25; 22.3% are between the ages of 29-32; 24.4% of them are 33 years or older. Nurses with up to 3 years of experience in the institution constitute 32.6% of the total participants. 'Are you satisfied with working in your institution?' (52.2%) answered the question as 'neither satisfied nor dissatisfied', 'Are you satisfied with the salary you get?' It was determined that the majority (87.3%) answered the question 'I am not satisfied.' It was found that the trust in the administrator score was between 0-2 (39.5%). Since it is understood that nurses tend to organize professionally in the new order, but do not prefer this to be done only through association, it is necessary to improve their relations with existing professional organizations and clinical nurses, to turn the current orientation in favor of professional integrity with the right managerial moves and methods, and to increase management, leadership and other trainings in nursing. Keywords: nursing, management, organization
