Abstract
Araştırmada, Türkiye'de ruh sağlığı alanında çalışan kişilerin (psikolog, psikiyatrist, psikiyatri hemşiresi ve psikolojik danışmanların), cinsel kimlik ve cinsel yönelimi farklı olan LGBTİ+ kişilere karşı tutumu ve homofobi düzeyi belirlemek amaçlanmıştır. Aynı zamanda, ruh sağlığı alanında çalışan kişilerin çeşitli demografik bilgilerine göre tutum ve homofobi düzeylerinin farklılık gösterip göstermediği incelenmiştir. Araştırmanın örneklemini, İstanbul'da ruh sağlığı alanında çalışan (psikolog, psikiyatrist, psikiyatri hemşiresi ve psikolojik danışman) 385 kişi oluşmuştur. Araştırmada, katılımcılardan veri toplama amacıyla 'Demografik Bilgi Formu', 'Hudson ve Rickett Homofobi Ölçeği', 'Trans Bireylere Yönelik Tutum Ölçeği' ve 'Eşcinsellik Tutum Ölçeği (ETÖ)' kullanılmıştır. Verilerin analizinde; bağımsız t testi, korelasyon ve çoklu regresyon analizi kullanılmıştır. Araştırmada ilk olarak ruh sağlığı çalışanlarının homofobi düzeylerinin orta düzey olduğu; lezbiyen ve geylere yönelik tutumu ile trans bireylere yönelik tutumunun olumlu olduğu belirlenmiştir. Araştırmada, erkeklerin homofobi düzeyinin kadınlardan daha yüksek olduğu saptanmıştır. Araştırmada, kadınların lezbiyen, gey ve trans bireylere yönelik tutumlarının erkeklere göre daha olumlu olduğu saptanmıştır. Araştırmada, ailede veya çevrede homoseksüel birey tanımayan kişilerin homofobi düzeyinin tanıyan kişilere göre daha yüksek olduğu saptanmıştır. Araştırmada, ailede veya çevrede homoseksüel birey tanıyan kişilerin lezbiyen ve geylere yönelik tutumlarının, tanımayan kişilere göre daha olumlu olduğu saptanmıştır. Araştırmada, trans bireylere yönelik tutumların ailede veya çevrede tanıdık homoseksüel bireyin olma durumuna göre farklılaşmadığı saptanmıştır. Araştırmada, ruh sağlığı alanında çalışanların yaşı ile homofobi düzeyi arasında pozitif yönde anlamlı bir ilişki saptanmıştır. Araştırmada, ruh sağlığı alanında çalışanların yaşı ile lezbiyen, gey ve trans bireylere yönelik tutumu arasında negatif yönde anlamlı bir ilişki saptanmıştır. Araştırmada, ruh sağlığı alanında çalışanların çalışma süresi ile homofobi düzeyi arasında pozitif yönde anlamlı bir ilişki saptanmıştır. Araştırmada, ruh sağlığı alanında çalışanların çalışma süresi ile lezbiyen, gey ve trans bireylere yönelik tutumu arasında negatif yönde anlamlı bir ilişki saptanmıştır. Lezbiyen ve Geylere Yönelik Tutum ve Trans Bireylere Yönelik Tutum düzeylerinin negatif yönde homofobi düzeyini yordadığı saptanmıştır. In the study, it was aimed to determine the attitudes and homophobia levels of people working in the field of mental health (psychologists, psychiatrists, psychiatric nurses and psychological counselors) towards LGBTI+ people with different sexual identity and sexual orientation. At the same time, it was examined whether the attitudes and homophobia levels of people working in the field of mental health differ according to their various demographic information. The sample of the study consisted of 385 people (psychologists, psychiatrists, psychiatric nurses and psychological counselors) working in the field of mental health in İstanbul. In the study, 'Demographic Information Form', 'Hudson and Rickett Homophobia Scale', 'Attitude Scale Towards Transgender Persons' and 'Homosexuality Attitude Scale' were used to collect data from the participants. In the analysis of data; independent t test, correlation and multiple regression analysis were used. In the study, first of all, it was determined that the homophobia levels of mental health workers were moderate; It was determined that his attitude towards lesbians and gays and his attitudes towards trans individuals were positive. In the study, it was determined that the homophobia level of men was higher than that of women. In the study, it was determined that women's attitudes towards lesbian, gay and transgender people were more positive than men. In the study, it was determined that the homophobia level of people who do not know a homosexual person in their family or in the environment is higher than those who do. In the study, it was determined that the attitudes of people who know homosexual individuals in their family or environment towards lesbians and gays are more positive than those who do not. In the study, it was determined that attitudes towards transgender people did not differ according to the status of a familiar homosexual person in the family or in the environment. In the study, a positive and significant relationship was found between the age of mental health workers and the level of homophobia. In the study, a negative significant relationship was found between the age of mental health workers and their attitudes towards lesbian, gay and transgender people. In the study, a positive and significant relationship was found between the working time of mental health workers and the level of homophobia. In the study, a negative significant relationship was found between the working time of mental health workers and their attitudes towards lesbian, gay and transgender individuals. It was determined that Attitudes Towards Lesbian and Gays and Attitudes Towards Trans Persons negatively predicted the level of homophobia.
