Abstract
Çalışmanın amacı, ilkokul öğrencilerinde verilen eğitiminin beslenme davranışında ve diyet kalitesindeki etkisi incelemektir. Araştırma, Antalya'da Sarıcasu Darıyemezler (kırsal) ve Sultan Alparslan (kentsel) İlkokulları'nda Eylül 2021- Haziran 2022 tarihlerinde eğitim gören 3. ve 4. sınıf öğrencilerinde yapılmıştır. Çalışmaya 52'si kırsal ve 157'si kentsel bölgeden 209 öğrenci katılmıştır. Araştırmacı tarafından oluşturulan anket formuyla çalışma süresince öğrencilere ön test, son test ve izlem testi yapılmıştır. Anket formuyla demografik bilgiler, fiziksel aktivite durumu sorgulanmıştır.
The aim of the study is to examine the effect of education given to primary school students on nutritional behavior and diet quality. The research was conducted among 3rd and 4th grade students studying at Sarıcasu Darıyemezler (rural) and Sultan Alparslan (urban) Primary Schools in Antalya between September 2021 and June 2022. 209 people, 52 from rural and 157 from urban areas, participated in the study. Pre-test, post-test and follow-up tests were applied to the students during the study with the survey form created by the researcher. Demographic information and physical activity status were questioned with the survey form. 'KİDMED Scale', 'Nutrition Behavior Scale' and 'Food Consumption Frequency' forms were used; anthropometric measurements were performed. While the KİDMED scores of Sarıcasu and Sultan Alparslan schools before education were 5.54±1.91 and 4.66±1.87, respectively, at the end of the study they were found to be 7.27±1.43 and 6.13±1.92, respectively. (p<0, 05). While there were 6 (11.5%) students in Sarıcasu Primary School and 7 (4.5%) students in Alparslan Primary School with optimal diet quality before the training education, after the study it is increased to 20 (%38,5) and 45 (%28,7), respectively. Nutrition behavior scores and physical activity values (PAL) are similarly increased at a statistically significant level in both schools (p<0.05). Nutritional education for children positively affects nutritional behavior and diet quality. Nutritional education should be increased in schools and students' participation in education should be ensured. Educational studies should be supported by larger studies in different sociocultural samples.
