Abstract
The aim of this research is to put forward(to prove) that if there are any significant differences in technical teachers' organizational stress sources, job satisfaction and life satisfaction according to some variables, and if there are any significant relationships between these three dependent variables. The sample consisted of 320 technical teachers that were working at some Professional and Technical Anatolian High Schools in central towns of İzmir; Konak, Bornova and Karabağlar in the 2013-2014 academic year. 'Personal Knowledge Survey (PKS)', 'Job Stress factors Scale', 'Organizational Stress Scale (OSS)', 'The Satisfaction with Life Scale (SWLS) ' and 'Job Satisfaction Scale (JSS)' were used to gather data. During data analysis, descriptive statistics, Pearson correlations, independents samples t-test and one-way analysis of variance (ANOVA), and multiple regression analysis were used. In the research, technical teachers' organizational stress sources, job satisfaction and life satisfaction are the dependent variables of the research. Age, gender, civil status, education and the period of professional career are the independent variables. The findings at the end of the research are like these: 'I have anxiety about retirement and future' has the highest average and 'I can go my annual holiday fully and in time' has the lowest average in the Technical Teachers' organizational stress sources. There are significant differences in the Technical Teachers' organizational stress sources acoording to age and period of professional career. However, there is not any significant difference according to gender. While 'My relationship with colliques' has the highest average as job satisfaction, 'the opportunities of Premium in workplace' has the lowest average. In terms of job satisfaction, there are significant differences according to age, career, civil status and gender variables. In terms of life satisfaction, the highest average is 'I am fairly close to my goals with good deals of all life aspects', as the lowest average is 'If I was born again, I wouldn't have changed almost anything'. There are significant differences according to life satisfaction and sex variables. But there is not any significant difference according to age, civil status, education and period of professional career variables. Within the organizational stress sources, there is a significant and negative relationship between both life satisfaction and job satisfaction. There is also a significant and positive relationship between job satisfaction and life satisfaction. Organizaitonal stress factors are found to be the negative predictors of job satisfaction. At the same time, it is seen that organizational stress factors are related negatively to life satisfaction. Finally, job satisfaction is seen to be positively related to life satisfaction. Keywords: Stress, Organizational Stress, Job Satisfaction, Life Satisfaction
