Abstract
Araştırma kapsamına alınan hemşirelerin %44,8'i acil serviste ve %34,3'ü yoğun bakımda çalışmaktadır.
This study was carried out with 181 nurses working in risky units of Kanuni Sultan Süleyman Training and Research Hospital in between July and September 2019 in order to evaluate psychological endurance and spiritual well-being of nurses working in risk units of hospitals. In the descriptive study, the data were obtained with 'Personal Information Form', 'Psychological Endurance Scale' and 'Spiritual Well-being Scale'. In the evaluation of the data, number and percentage calculations, mean and standard deviation values, t test and Anova test were used. The correlation between the scales was examined by Pearson correlation. Nurses who participate the study, 44.8% worked in the emergency department and 34.3% worked in the intensive care unit. It was determined that 34.3% of the nurses were working in the 0-5 years and 61.3% of them were working in the 0-5 years. 58.6% of the nurses stated that they had five or more seizures per month and 41.8% of them worked 0-48 hours per week. It was found that 61.5% received training / certificate related to the unit they work for and 46.7% of the nurses were satisfied to work as nurses. The mean score of the psychological endurance scale of the nurses is 130.6 ± 16.02 and the mean score of the Spiritual Well-being Scale is 121.67 ± 16.14. There was a statistically significant difference between nurses' working time in the unit, weekly working time, educational / certification status and satisfaction with being a nurse, and the mean score of psychological endurance scale (p <0.05). There was a statistically significant difference between nurses' education level, occupational time, number of seizures and satisfaction with working as a nurse and the total mean score of Spiritual Well-Being Scale (p <0.05). A moderate positive correlation was found between psychological endurance levels and spiritual well-being of nurses (p <0.05). It is recommended that nurses working in risky units should be evaluated at regular intervals for psychological endurance and spiritual well-being. Key Words: Risky unit, Nurse, Psychological endurance, Spiritual well-being.
