Çalışan kadınların zaman yönetimi ve stresle başa çıkma tarzları
Abstract
Doğru zaman yönetiminin hem çalışan hem de örgüt açısından önemi dikkata alınarak hazırlanan bu çalışmada kadın çalışanların zaman yönetimi becerilerinin algıladıkları stres karşısında başa çıkma tarzları üzerindeki etkisi araştırılmıştır. Araştırmaya İstanbul'da hizmet sektöründe faaliyet gösteren bir işletmenin 132 kadın çalışanı dahil edilmiştir. Katılımcılara uygulanan veri toplama aracında kişisel bilgi formu ile birlikte zaman yönetimi ölçeği ve stresle başa çıkma tarzları ölçeği yer almaktadır. Araştırma verilerinin analizinde SPSS 23.00 kullanılmış olup, veriler betimleyici istatistikler, korelasyon analizi, regresyon analizi ve t-test ile analiz edilmiştir. Elde edilen bulgular %95 güven aralığında ve %5 anlamlılık düzeyinde değerlendirilmiştir. Araştırmadan elde edilen bulgulara zaman yönetiminin kadın çalışanların stresle başa çıkma tarzlarından güvenli yaklaşım, iyimser yaklaşım, çaresiz yaklaşım ve boyun eğici yaklaşım üzerinde anlamlı etkisi vardır. Buna göre uzun dönemli zaman planlaması güvenli ve iyimser yaklaşımı artırırken, boyun eğici yaklaşımı azaltmaktadır. Zamana yönelik olumlu tutumlar ise güvenli ve iyimser yaklaşımı artırmaktadır. Diğer taraftan zaman israfı yapmamanın çaresiz ve boyun eğici yaklaşım üzerinde azaltıcı etkisi tespit edilmiştir. Kişisel bilgiler açısından yapılan değerlendirmede uzun dönemli zaman planlamasının üniversite eğitimi alanlarda ve zaman yönetimi ile ilgili okuma yapanlarda daha yüksek olduğu görülmüştür. Bununla birlikte zamana yönelik olumlu tutumlar işletme deneyimi daha az olan ve zaman yönetimi eğitimi alan grupta daha yüksek iken, işletmedeki deneyim yılı fazla olan grupta daha az zaman israfı yapıldığı belirlenmiştir. Kişisel bilgilere göre stresle başa çıkma tarzlarının farklılaşması değerlendirildiğinde iyimser yaklaşım hem sektör hem de iş deneyimi daha düşük olan gruplarda ve sosyal desteğe başvurma zaman yönetimi eğitimi alan gruplarda daha yüksek bulunmuştur.
In this study, which has been prepared by taking into consideration the importance of the right time management for both employees and organizations, the effect of time management skills on coping styles in terms of perceived stress was investigated. 132 female employees of a service operating in service sector were included in the study. The data collection tool applied to participants included a personal information form as well as a time management scale and a scale for coping with stress. SPSS 23.00 was used in the analysis of the data and the data were analyzed with descriptive statistics, correlation analysis, regression analysis and t-test. The findings were evaluated at 95% confidence interval and 5% significance level. The findings obtained from the study show that time management has a significant effect on safe approach, optimistic approach, helpless approach and submissive approach of female employees' coping styles with stress. Accordingly, long-term time planning increases the safe and optimistic approach, while reducing the submissive approach. Positive attitudes towards time increase the safe and optimistic approach. On the other hand, the effect of avoiding time wasting on the helpless and submissive approach has been determined. In terms of personal information, it was found that long-term time planning was higher in university education and time-consuming reading. However, positive attitudes towards time were found to be lower in the group with less experience and time management training, whereas less time wasted in the group with more years of experience. According to personal information, when the differentiation of stress coping styles was evaluated, the optimistic approach was found to be higher in both the sector and the groups with lower work experience and in contact with social support in time management training groups.
