55-72 aylık çocuklara dış alanda uygulanan sorgulama tabanlı bilim etkinliklerinin bilimsel süreç becerilerine etkisinin incelenmesi

Abstract

Bu çalışma, okul öncesi eğitim programındaki kazanım ve göstergeler doğrultusunda hazırlanan sorgulama tabanlı, bilim etkinliklerinin dış alanda uygulanarak çocukların bilimsel süreç becerilerine olan etkilerini incelemek amacıyla yapılmıştır. Bu amaç doğrultusunda okul öncesi eğitim programına uygun hazırlanan bilimsel etkinlikler uzmanlar tarafından incelenmiş ve uygun görülmüştür. Bu çalışmada gerçek deneme modellerinden ön test-son test kontrol gruplu deneme modeli kullanılmıştır. Araştırmada öncelikle deney ve kontrol grubunu belirlemek amacıyla bilimsel süreç beceri ölçeği uygulamıştır. Uygulama sonunda veriler SPSS 15.0 programı kullanarak değerlendirilmiştir. Değerlendirme sonucunda okul öncesi eğitim programına ek olarak sorgulama tabanlı bilim etkinlikleri deney grubundaki 15 çocuğa uygulanmıştır. Çalışma kapsamında deney grubunu oluşturan çocuklara 8 hafta boyunca haftada üç gün olmak üzere 24 günlük eğitim programı, okul öncesi eğitim programına ek bir destek programı olarak uygulanmıştır. Programın uygulanması sürecinde kontrol grubunu oluşturan çocuklar, günlük eğitim programlarına devam etmişlerdir. Araştırma sonucunda veriler incelenmiştir. Sonuç olarak, dış alanda uygulanan sorgulama tabanlı bilim etkinliklerin 55-72 aylık çocukların bilimsel süreç becerilerine olumlu katkı sağladığı görülmüştür. This study was conducted to investigate the effects of inquiry-based science activities prepared in line with the achievements and demonstrations of the pre-school education program on the scientific process skills of the children. To this end, the science activities prepared for preschool education program were analyzed and approved by the experts. In this study, pre-test and post-test control group experimental models were used as real experimental models. In the research, firstly the scientific process skill scale was applied to determine the experiment and control group. At the end of the study, the data were evaluated using the SPSS 15.0 program. As a result of the evaluation, in addition to pre-school education program, inquiry based science activities were applied to 15 children in the experimental group. Within the scope of the study, 24-day training program, which is three days a week for 8 weeks, was applied as an additional support program to pre-school education program for the children who constituted the experimental group. In the process of implementing the program, the children who formed the control group continued their daily education programs. As a result of the research, the data were examined. As a result; it has been observed that inquiry-based science activities applied at the external field contribute positively to scientific process skills of children aged 55-72 months.
