Abstract
Bu tez çalışmasının amacı ilkokullarda çalışan öğretmenlerin cinsiyet, yaş, eğitim düzeyi, medeni durum, mesleki kıdem ve kurumdaki çalışma süresi gibi değişkenlere göre umutsuzluk düzeyini belirlemek, ayrıca bu değişkenler ile öğretmenlerin umutsuzluk düzeyleri arasında anlamlı bir farklılık olup olmadığını araştırmaktır. Bu incelemeyle birlikte, öğretmenlerin içinde bulunduğu durum gösterilmeye çalışılmış ve geliştirilecek olan sosyal çalışmalara bir katkı sunması hedeflenmiştir. Araştırma betimsel nitelikte ve tarama modelindedir. Araştırmanın evrenini 2014-2015 eğitim- öğretim yılında İstanbul ili Pendik ilçesi sınırları içinde yer alan 44 resmi ilkokulda çalışan 1907 öğretmen oluşturmaktadır. Basit tesadüfi örneklem yöntemine göre 15 farklı okuldan 316 öğretmen örneklem olarak alınmıştır. Kullanılan örneklem, evreni temsil eden niteliktedir. 'Beck umutsuzluk ölçeği' ile elde edilen bilgilerin, araştırmaya katılan öğretmenlerin görüşlerini doğru olarak ve istekle yansıttığı düşünülmektedir. Araştırmanın veri toplama aracı olarak kullanılan ölçek iki bölümden oluşmaktadır. Birinci bölümde kişisel bilgileri içeren Sosyo-demografik sorular, ikinci bölümde ise Beck ve ark. (1974) tarafından geliştirilen toplam 20 maddeden oluşan Beck Umutsuzluk Ölçeği kullanılmıştır. Bu araştırma için, Katılımcıların gelecek ile ilgili duygular ve beklentiler puanları 0 ile 5 puan arasında değişmekte olup, ortalaması 1.46±1.53 dir. Katılımcıların motivasyon kaybı puanları 0 ile 8 puan arasında değişmekte olup, ortalaması 2.63±1.99 dur. Katılımcıların umut puanları 0 ile 7 puan arasında değişmekte olup, ortalaması 2.48±1.90 dır. 'Gelecek ile ilgili duygular ve beklentiler' için Cronbach Alfa güvenilirlik katsayısı 0.719, 'Motivasyon Kaybı' için 0.675, 'Umut' için 0.674 olarak bulunmuştur. The aim of this thesis study is to determine the level of hopelessness of the teachers working in primary schools, according to the variables such as gender, age, educational level, marital status, professional seniority and the working period in the instution, besides, it is to search if there is a meaningful difference or not between these parameters and the level of hopelessness of teachers. The aim of this thesis is to determine the level of hopelessness of the teachers working in primary schools, according to the parameters such as gender, age, educational level, marital status, professional seniority and the working period in the instution, besides, it is to search if there is a meaningful difference or not between these parameters and the level of hopelessness of teachers. With this research, it is tried to be shown the situation in which the teachers are, and it is aimed to provide to the social studies that will be developed. The search is of descriptive quality and browsing version. 1907 teachers, working in 44 official primary schools in the Town of Pendik in İstanbul city, during the 2014-2015 educational term, have formed the universe of the search. Depending on basic random sample, 316 teachers from 15 different schools, have been taken as sample. The sample that is used had the quality of presenting the universe. It is thought that the information that has been gained by means of 'Beck Hopelessness Measure' reflects truly and willingly the opinions of the teachers who have participated in this research. The measurement that has been used as an instrument of gathering information, consists of two parts. In the first part, socio-demographic questions including personal information; in the second part, 'Beck Hopelessness Measure ' consisting of 20 items which had been developed by Beck and his friends(1974) are used. For this research, the points of the participants about the feelings and expectations about future are changing from 0 to 5 and the average of it is 1.46_+ 1.53 The points of the participants about loss of motivation are changing from 0 to 8 and the average of it is 2.63_+1.99. The points of the participants about hope are changing from 0 and 7 and the average of it is 2.48_+ 1.90. Cronbach Alfa reliability coefficient is found out as0,719 for 'Feelings and Expectations about future ', as 0,675 for 'Loss of Motivation ' , as 0,674 for 'Hope'.
