İnfertil kadınlarda damgalanma ve psikolojik iyi oluş ilişkisi
Abstract
This research was conducted to examine the relationship between stigma and psychological well-being in women receiving infertility treatment. The sample of the descriptive and relationship-seeking type study consisted of 122 infertile women who applied to the IVF Clinic of Private Anadolu Health Center Hospital for infertility treatment between October and December 2021. The research data were obtained with demographic questionnaire, Psychological Well-Being and Infertility Stigma Scale. It was determined that the women in the research had low levels of stigma and psychological well-being. As the level of stigma women increases, their psychological well-being decreases. Participants' age group, education level, employment status, presence of children, duration of infertility treatment, number of treatments, previous unsuccessful results, status of having another infertile individual in the family, receiving psychological treatment, and total scores of the Infertility Stigma Scale and Psychological Well-being Scale No statistically significant difference was found between (p>0,05). It has been determined that the level of stigmatization is higher among the participants whose income is less than their expenses, who have been married for 1-5 years and who are the cause of infertility (p<0,05). It is recommended that nurses working with infertile individuals should include appropriate interventions in nursing interventions by determining the level of stigma and psychological well-being of infertile couples.
