Abstract
This study was conducted to determine the use of social media and psychological well-being among married women and to reveal the relationship between these two conditions. A descriptive and relationship-seeking study was conducted with 258 married women between March and May 2020.The data were obtained by demographic data form, Social Media Use Scale and Psychological Well-being Scale. Number and percentage calculations, Mann Whitney U test, Kruskal-Wallis H test were used to evaluate the data. The relationship between variables was evaluated using Sperman correlation analysis. The average age of married people within the scope of the study is 34.27±8.01 (min:20, max:63). Social Media Usage Scale mean score of the shared is 24.32±9.60 (min:10, max:55) and Psychological Well-being Scale average score is 36.87±13.32 (min:8, max:56). It was found to be significant with the people working in the university and its environs use more social media than the residents (p<0.05). There was no significant relationship between Social Media Use Scale and Psychological Well-Being Scale (p> 0.05, r = 0.018). It is recommended to conduct similar studies with samples with different demographics.
