Halk eğitim kurumunda öğrenim gören 15-49 yaş arası evli kadınların beslenme alışkanlıkları ve obezite prevalansları
Abstract
Sıklığının hızla artmasıyla ve beraberinde birçok kronik hastalık için risk etmeni olmasıyla obezite önemi bir halk sağlığı sorunudur. Bu çalışma, Sakarya'da bulunan Erenler Merkez Halk Eğitim kurumunda öğrenim gören 15-49 yaş arası evli kadınların beslenme alışkanlıklarının ve obezite varlığının saptanması amacıyla planlanmış ve yürütülmüştür. Araştırma kesitsel tiptedir ve 17 Kasım-20 Aralık 2016 tarihleri arasında yapılmıştır. Sakarya'nın Erenler ilçesinde bulunan Merkez Halk Eğitim Kurumu'nda öğrenim gören yaşları 15-49 arasında değişen 204 evli kadın araştırmanın evrenini oluşturmuştur. Beden kütle indeksi (BKİ) 18,5 altında olan zayıf kategorisindeki 5 kişi ve gebe kadınlar çalışmaya alınmamıştır. Bireylerin, beslenme alışkanlıklarını, sosyodemografik ve doğurganlık özelliklerini, fiziksel aktivite durumlarını sorgulayan anket formu ve besin tüketim sıklığı formu yüz yüze görüşme yöntemiyle uygulanmıştır. Verilerin istatistiksel değerlendirilmesinde, SPSS 20 paket programı kullanılmıştır. Kadınlarda obezite prevalansı %20,5 bulunmuştur. Araştırmaya katılan kadınların ortalama vücut ağırlığı 69.82±13.12 ve bel kalça oranı 0.80±0.07 olarak saptanmıştır. Bireylerin yaş ortalamasının 37.65± 7.53 ve bu kadınların %74,5'inin ev hanımı olduğu, kişilerin %51'inin tanısı konmuş bir veya daha fazla hastalığının olduğu, %22.5'inin haftada 1-2 kez dışarıda yemek yediği ve araştırmaya katılan kadınlardan obez olanların %16,6'sının düzenli olarak fiziksel aktivite yaptığı görülmüştür. Yaşı daha fazla olan, sezaryan doğum yapmış ve ailesinde obezite öyküsü olan ev kadınları başta olmak üzere, bu kişilerin obezite, yeterli ve dengeli beslenme ve fiziksel aktivite konularında bilgilendirilmesi, bilinçlendirilmesi ve teşviki gerekmekte, obeziteyle mücadele konusunda politika oluşturulmalıdır. Obesity is a public health problem due to its increasing trend and it is associated with many other chronic diseases. This study was planned to determine eating habits and obesity of married women aged 15-49 who are studying at Erenler Central Public Education Center in Sakarya. The study is cross-sectional and was conducted between 17 November and 20 December 2016. 204 married women ages between 15 to 49 years old who were educated at the Central Public Educational Institution located in the Erenler district of Sakarya formed the universe of the research. Five women having poor body mass index (BMI) below 18.5 and pregnant women were not included in the study. In this research, a questionnaire about the eating habits of individuals, socio-demographic and fertility characteristics, physical activity status and also food consumption frequency form were applied by face to face interview method. SPSS 20 package program was used in the statistical evaluation of the data. The prevalence of obesity in women was found to be 20.5%. The average body weight of women participated in the survey 69.82 ± 12.13 and waist / hip ratio was determined as 0.80 ± 0.07. The average age of the individuals was 37.65 ± 7.53 and among these married women 74.5% were housewives, 51% were having one or more diagnosed diseases, 22.5% were eating 1-2 times a week outside and among obese women 16.6% were having regular physical activity as well. It requires to establish a policy in order to influence housewifes, relatively old aged having obesity issues within family and had cesarean birth, on healthy and balanced food consumption, physical activity requirements.
