Abstract
Bu çalışmada 7-12 yaş arası öğrencilerin ekran süreleri ve ebeveynlerinin uzaktan eğitime yönelik tutumlarının, ebeveynlerin çocuklarının sağlıklarına yönelik kaygıları üzerindeki etkisinin incelenmesi amaçlanmıştır. Bunun yanında ebeveynlerin sağlık kaygılarının sosyo-demografik özelliklerine göre farklılık gösterme durumlarının incelenmesi de hedeflenmiştir. Kesitsel nitelikteki bu çalışmada ilişkisel tarama modeli esas alınmıştır. Araştırmanın örneklemini kolayda örnekleme yöntemi ile seçilen 506 ebeveyn oluşturmaktadır. Veriler anket yöntemi ile elde edilmiştir. Ankette, sosyo-demografik form, Pandemi Döneminde Uzaktan Eğitim Ölçeği ve Pandemi Döneminde Uzaktan Eğitim Ebeveyn Sağlık Kaygısı Anketi yer almaktadır. Verilerin analizi IBM SPSS v.26 yazılımı ile gerçekleştirilmiştir. Araştırmada tanımlayıcı istatistiksel analizler, geçerlilik ve güvenilirlik analizleri, normal dağılım analizi, korelasyon analizi, çoklu doğrusal regresyon analizleri, t-testi ve ANOVA analizleri gerçekleştirilmiştir. Regresyon analizleri sonucunda ebeveynlerin uzaktan eğitime yönelik olumsuz tutumlarının ve çocukların ekran sürelerinin, ebeveynlerin çocuklarının sağlıklarına yönelik kaygıları üzerinde olumlu yönde ve anlamlı etkilerinin olduğu tespit edilmiştir. Fark analizleri sonucunda ise ebeveynlerin çocuklarının sağlıklarına yönelik kaygılarının yaşlarına, medeni durumlarına, ailede Covid-19 geçiren olup olmamasına ve okulların açılması konusundaki fikirlerine göre anlamlı farklılık gösterdiği belirlenmiştir.
In this study, it was aimed to examine the effects of screen time of 7-12 year old students and their parents' attitudes towards distance education on parents' concerns about their children's health. In addition, it was also aimed to examine the differences in parents' health concerns according to their socio-demographic characteristics. In this cross-sectional study, the relational screening model was used. The sample of the study consists of 506 parents selected by convenience sampling method. The data were obtained by the survey method. The questionnaire includes a socio-demographic form, the Distance Education Scale during the Pandemic Period and the Distance Education Parent Health Anxiety Questionnaire during the Pandemic Period. Data analysis was performed with IBM SPSS v.26 software. Descriptive statistical analyzes, validity and reliability analyzes, normal distribution analysis, correlation analysis, multiple linear regression analyzes, t-test and ANOVA analyzes were performed in the study. As a result of regression analysis, it was determined that parents' negative attitudes towards distance education and children's screen time had positive and significant effects on parents' concerns about their children's health. As a result of the difference analysis, it was determined that the parents' concerns about their children's health differed significantly according to their age, marital status, whether they had Covid-19 in the family, and their ideas about opening schools.
