Devlet ve Özel Okul öncesi eğitim kurumlarında görev yapan öğretmenlerin mesleki sorun tanımlarının incelenmesi

Abstract

Bu çalışmanın amacı devlet ve özel okul öncesi eğitim kurumlarında görev yapan öğretmenlerinin mesleki sorun tanımlarını incelenmektir. Katılımcıların cinsiyet, yaş, medeni durum, çalışma saatleri gibi bazı sosyo-demografik özellikleri de bu amaç çerçevesinde değerlendirilmektedir. Yapılan çalışma okul öncesi öğretmenlerinin sorun tanımlarını karma araştırma deseni ile belirlemeyi amaçlamaktadır. Araştırmanın evrenini İstanbul ili Anadolu Yakası'nda devlet ve özel okul öncesi eğitim kurumlarında görev yapmakta olan okul öncesi öğretmenleri oluşturmuştur. Araştırmanın örneklemini ise, 2017-2018 eğitim öğretim yılında İstanbul ili Anadolu Yakası'nda devlet ve özel okul öncesi eğitim kurumlarında görev yapmakta olan, kartopu örnekleme yoluyla seçilmiş 118 okul öncesi öğretmeni oluşturmuştur. Veri toplama sürecinde araştırmacı tarafından geliştirilen, okul öncesi öğretmenleri için Demografik Bilgi Formu ve yarı yapılandırılmış 'Öğretmen Görüşme Formu' kullanılmıştır. Araştırma sonucunda elde edilen verilere göre devlet ve özel okullarda görev yapan okul öncesi öğretmenlerinin öğretmen görüşme formunda bildirdikleri sorunlar arasından 8 temel sorun tanımı ortaya konulmuştur. Bu sorunlar yapılan analiz ve görüşmelere göre; çalışma saatleri ve mola yetersizliği, maaş yetersizliği, sınıf mevcutları, değersizlik, velilerle ilgili problemler, okul şartları ve sınıf materyalleri ile ilişkili problemler olarak belirlenmiştir. Elde edilen bu sonuçlar tartışma ve yorum bölümünde ilgili literatür ışığında yorumlanıp değerlendirilmektedir. Anahtar Kelimeler: Okul öncesi öğretmen, Kamu anaokulu, Özel anaokulu, Sorun tanımı

The aim of the study is to examine the problem topics of teachers working in state and private preschools. Additionally, research also aimed the evaluation of sociodemographic variables including gender, age, marital status, and working hours. The study aims to determine the definition of preschool teachers problems with the mixed research methods. The population of the study included the teachers working in state and private preschools in Anatolian side of Istanbul. Sample of the study was consisted of 118 teachers currently working in state and private schools in Anatolian side of Istanbul in 2017-2018 educational years sampled by snowball sampling research study method. Data collection was performed by demographic information form for preschool teachers and semi-structured 'Interview form for teachers ' developed by the researcher. Based on the findings of the study, preschool teachers working in state and private schools reported 8 basic problem topics as common. Problem topics determined by data analysis and interviews were working hours, insufficient time-offs, insufficient income, numbers of students in the classes, worthlessness, problems related to parents, classroom materials, and standards.
