Abstract
Araştırmada, çocuk kliniğinde yatan 0-1 yaş grubu çocukların annelerinin sağlık okuryazarlık düzeyini ve etkileyen faktörleri belirlemek amaçlanmıştır. Tanımlayıcı tipteki araştırma, Eylül-Aralık 2022 tarihleri arasında Sağlık Bakanlığı Hendek Devlet Hastanesi çocuk kliniğinde yatan 0-1 yaş grubu çocukların ebeveyni olan 104 anne ile gerçekleştirilmiştir. Araştırma verileri, Anne Tanıtım Formu ve Avrupa Sağlık Okuryazarlığı Ölçeği ile elde edilmiştir. Annelerin Avrupa Sağlık Okuryazarlığı Ölçeğinin toplam puan ortalamasının 17,03±1,299, tedavi ve hizmet boyutu puan ortalamasının '33,59±8,20', hastalıklardan koruma alt boyutu puan ortalamasının '29,34±8,99' ve sağlığın geliştirilmesi alt boyutunun puan ortalamasının ise '34,94±10,13' olduğu bulunmuştur. Araştırma kapsamına alınan annelerin %11,5'nin 'yetersiz sağlık okuryazarlık düzeyi', %44,2'sinin 'sorunlu/sınırlı sağlık okuryazarlık düzeyi', %32,7'sinin 'yeterli sağlık okuryazarlık düzeyi' ve %11,6'sının 'mükemmel sağlık okuryazarlık düzeyi' ne sahip oldukları ve bireylerin ölçeklerden alına skorları SOY düzeyinin arttığı saptanmıştır. Araştırmaya dahil olan annelerden ilkokul mezunu olan, çalışmayan ve çocuğu ilk kez hastaneye yatmış olanların sağlık okuryazarlığının daha düşük düzeyde olduğu belirlenmiştir. Annelerden sağlık okuryazarlığı kavramını bilen ve sağlık okuryazarlığının önemli bir kavram olduğunu düşünenlerin ölçek toplam puanlarının daha yüksek olduğu saptanmıştır. Primer bakım verici rolündeki annelerin pediatri hemşireleri aracılığıyla verilecek eğitimlerle sağlık okuryazarlık düzeylerinin yükseltilmesi önerilmektedir. In the study, it was aimed to determine the health literacy level of the mothers of 0-1 year old children hospitalized in the pediatric clinic and the factors affecting it. The descriptive study was conducted with 104 mothers who were the parents of 0-1 year old children hospitalized in the Ministry of Health Hendek State Hospital pediatric clinic between September and December 2022. Research data were obtained with the Mother Identification Form and European Health Literacy Scale. The total mean score of the European Health Literacy Scale of mothers was 17.03±1.299, the mean of treatment and service dimension was '33.59±8.20', the mean of protection from diseases was '29.34±8.99', and the mean of health promotion sub- dimension. the mean score was found to be '34.94±10.13'. 11.5% of the mothers included in the study had 'insufficient health literacy level', 44.2% had 'problematic/limited health literacy level', 32.7% had 'adequate health literacy level' and 11.6% It was determined that the participants had an 'excellent health literacy level' and that the scores obtained from the scales and the level of health literacy of the individuals increased. It was determined that the health literacy of the mothers who were primary school graduates, who did not work and whose children were hospitalized first time, had a lower level of health literacy. It was determined that the total scale scores of mothers who knew the concept of health literacy and thought that health literacy was an important concept were higher. It is recommended to increase the level of health literacy of mothers in the role of primary caregivers through trainings to be given by pediatric nurses.
