İnşaat projeleri yönetim modelinde yalın metodolojinin uygulanması

Abstract

Yalın inşaat modeli, Henry Ford'un yaklaşımları ve Toyota'nın yalın üretim süreci üzerine yaptığı geliştirmeler temel alınarak kavramsallaştırılan yalın metodolojiden türetilmiştir. İnşaat sektörü, 7 Trilyon ABD Dolarını aşan pazar hacmiyle dünyanın en büyük sektörleri arasında kabul edilirken, yaklaşık 3 Trilyon ABD Doları ile petrol endüstrisini geride bırakıyor. Hacmine rağmen inşaat proje yönetimi modeli, özellikle üretkenlik ve verimlilik söz konusu olduğunda büyük ölçüde kusurludur. Geçtiğimiz birkaç on yılda pek çok çalışma bu konuları ele aldı ancak sorunun tüm yönlerini kapsayan güvenilir bir çözüm önermede başarısız oldu. Bu çalışma, yalın yöntemin bazı ilkelerini sunarak, öneri ve uyarlamaları sunarak, mevcut bazı inşaat araçlarını yalın inşaat araçları olarak etiketleyerek ve inşaat alanındaki profesyoneller arasındaki memnuniyet oranlarını sunarak, yalın yapıya yönelik mevcut değişime katkıda bulunmaktadır. Çalışma mevcut literatürün analizine ve yapılan anketin sonuçlarına dayanmaktadır. Çalışma, yalın yapıyı geleneksel modele etkili bir alternatif model olarak sunmaya odaklanmaktadır. Yalın inşaat yaklaşımını geleneksel modelle karşılaştıran birincil verilerin bulunmaması nedeniyle çalışma birkaç zorlukla karşılaştı. Sonuç ve öneriler, daha etkili bir yönetim modeli için hem akademisyenler hem de profesyoneller tarafından daha ileri çalışmalar için dikkate alınmalıdır. The lean construction model is derived from the lean methodology which was conceptualized based on the approaches of Henry Ford and the enhancements of Toyota on the lean manufacturing process. The construction industry is considered amongst the largest industries in the world with market volume of more than 7 Trillion U.S. Dollars passing the oil industry with almost 3 Trillion U.S. Dollars. Despite its volume, the construction project management model is heavily flawed especially when it comes to productivity and efficiency. Many studies addressed these issues over the past few decades, but failed to propose a reliable solution that covers all of the aspects of the problem. This study contributes to the current shift towards the lean construction by presenting some principles of the lean method and suggesting and adaptation by labelling some existing construction tools as tools of lean construction, and by presenting satisfaction rates among the professionals in the construction field. The study is based on the analysis of existing literature as well as the conducted survey's results. The study focuses on presenting the lean construction as an effective alternative model to the traditional model. The study faced a few challenges due to the lack of primary data comparing the lean construction approach to the traditional model. The results and recommendations should be considered by both academicians, for further studies, and professionals for more effective management model.
