Abstract
Bu çalışmada ilişkisel tarama yöntemine uygun olarak çocukların sosyal medya kullanımına ilişkin tutumları ile siber zorbalık düzeyleri arasındaki ilişkinin incelenmesi amaçlanmıştır. Bu doğrultuda çalışmanın evrenini Trabzon İlindeki 12-16 yaş arası çocuklar oluşturmaktadır. Çalışma ise rastgele örnekleme yöntemiyle seçilen 432 çocuk üzerinde gerçekleştirilmiştir. Araştırmada bireylerin sosyal medyaya ilişkin tutumlarını belirlemek amacıyla Otrar ve Argın (2013) tarafından geliştirilmiş 'Sosyal Medya Tututm Ölçeği', sanal zorbalık düzeylerini belirlemek için Erdur-Baker ve Kavşut (2007) tarafından geliştirilen 'Siber Zorbalık Envanteri' temel alınarak Topçu (2008) tarafından geliştirilen 'Sanal Zorbalığı Belirleme Ölçeği' ve çocukların demografik özelliklerini belirlemek için de araştırmacı tarafından geliştirilen 'Kişisel Bilgi Formu' kullanılmıştır. Elde edilen verilerin analizi için güvenilirlik, korelasyon ve aralarındaki ilişkiye bakılmış, ayrıca anlamlı farklılığı test etmek amacıyla Kruskal Wallis H ve Mann Whitney U testi kullanılmıştır. Paylaşım ihtiyacı, sosyal izolasyon, sosyal yetkinlik ve öğretmenle ilişki ile gün içinde bilgisayar kullanım süreleri arasında anlamlı farklılık olduğu tespit edilmiştir. Siber zorbalığın ise internet ve teknoloji kullanımı ile ilişkili olduğu sonucuna ulaşılmıştır. Anahtar Kelimeler: Sosyal medya kullanımı, Siber zorbalık, İnternet kullanımı
The aim of this study was to investigate the relationship between children's attitudes towards social media use and cyberbullying levels in accordance with relational screening method. In this direction, the population of the study is 12-16 years old in Trabzon. The study was carried out on 432 children selected by random sampling method. In the study, Social Media Attitude Scale was used to determine the attitudes of children to social media. In this study, The Social Media Attitude Scale developed by Otrar and Argın (2013) to determine the attitudes of individuals related to social media, the Cyber Bullying Inventory developed by Erdur-Baker and Kavşut (2007) to determine the levels of Cyber Bulling based on Cyber Bulling Inventory (2008) The Virtual Bullying Scale developed by Topçu and The Personel Data Form developed by the researcher were used to determine the demographic characteristics of children. For the analysis of the data obtained, the reliability, correlation and the relationship between them were examined, and Kruskal Wallis H and Mann Whitney U test were used to test the meaningful difference. It was found that there was a significant difference between the need for sharing, social isolation, social competence and teacher, and the duration of computer use during the day. It is concluded that cyber bullying is caused by the increase of internet and technology usage. Key Words: Social Media Use, Cyber Bullying, Internet Use.
